Naturally, the new B500 models feature all the
convincing advantages of their predecessors: the
VR2, enAble40 and enAble50 control units
adapted to the needs of the user along with their
flexibility and modular structure.
All B500 models feature outstanding operational
safety and service friendliness, are available with
a selection of comfortable control options and can
be used indoors as well as outdoors.
With optionally available modules, each model
can be customised to create the individual B500
model every user really needs: with extended
electric seat options, electric seat tilt up to 45°,
Contour and Recaro seats or electric lighting.

People with physical limitations are fully aware
that the small details are what really counts when
it comes to handling everyday life without
problems. They depend on a wheelchair that
optimally meets their individual needs.
In order to meet this requirement even better in
the future, Ottobock pursued the further development of the successful B500 to create a series of
five models that leave nothing to be desired: The
B500 online, the B500 e-europe, the B500 classic,
the B500 advanced and the B500 plus.

B500 online
Fast, safe and service-friendly
The B500 online power wheelchair with
a load capacity of up to 140 kg (309 lbs)
is equipped with a tried and tested VR2
control unit. Its reliable motors reach a
top speed of up to 8 km/h. 63 Ah (C5)
batteries, plastic footplates and arm
rests with clothing protectors are all part
of its standard equipment. The servicefriendly B500 online model has an
optional suspension for the entire
chassis.
For enhanced safety, the versatile B500
online can be equipped with electric
lighting as well as aluminium footplates,
which are also available in a continuous
version. In terms of seating options, the
B500 online can be equipped with
Recaro N-Joy and Recaro N-Joy plus seats
depending on the needs of the user.

With its reliable 20° tilt and quietly
adjustable back angle, Europe’s
favourite adjustments are offered in a
single model. These two options make
the difference compared to the B500
online base model, which with its
modular system meets all requirements
in the basic segment.

B500 classic
Modular, comfortable, variable
The B500 classic comes with the easy
to use enAble40 control electronics as
standard, offering two electric seat
options
and programmable using the programming station. The LCD screen in the
joystick housing with its large symbols
facilitates comfortable control over all
driving and operating parameters.
Two out of four controllable electric seat
options can be chosen. They include
electric seat tilt up to 45°, back angle
adjustment, angle-adjustable leg rests
and the lift seat. This makes the seating
systems even more comfortable.
The comfort of the seating systems can
be enhanced even further with the new
electric seat tilt option up to 45°, back
angle adjustment option or angleadjustable leg rests. Additional options
include the new height-adjustable,
swing-away control panel holder and
electric lighting. The B500 classic is the
only model in the B500 family which
offers the mechanically swivelling
centre tray control unit, allowing the
entire tray to be used.

B500 advanced
Maximum comfort and modular diversity
The B500 advanced offers ultimate
comfort. While its features and
characteristics are identical to the B500
classic, the B500 advanced is equipped
with the programmable 75 A enAble50
electronic control unit. It supports a
total of four electric seat options,
thereby offering maximum flexibility.
The seating systems for the B500
advanced can also be individually
optimised with electric seat tilt up to 45°,
electric back angle adjustment and
angle-adjustable leg rests. A lift seat
option up to 40 cm with a load capacity
of up to 130 kg is also available.

B500 plus
With a plus in personality
The B500 plus is additionally equipped
with an infrared and Bluetooth interface, through which all Ottobock special
controls and ASL products can be used.
These alternative input devices can be
used to drive the wheelchair and to
control the electric seat functions and a
wide range of terminal devices (environment control). There are thus no limits
to individuality. This supplement to the
equipment gives the B500 family a final
high-end touch.
