An Abbey Regatta is a lively and unique path toward team bonding and the goal of effective communication while problem solving throughout a complete
process. Cardboard boat building and racing á la Abbey is the vehicle to make it all happen for your team. An array of materials are provided for each team
along with specific guidelines to be followed. Our most popular format is to precede an Abbey Regatta with a Team Performance Medley (see below) to fire
up the troops and ignite the competition. Points earned from the Team Performance Medley will be used by each team to “purchase” additional boat building
materials to add to each team’s basic boat building set. Once materials are in hand, teams brainstorm together to create their unique boat design and then
begin the construction process. After the time allotment has passed for the building, the races begin! Our indoor pool is the most popular venue choice for the
Abbey Regatta as the competitive environment is enhanced with attendees circling the pool cheering on their team’s boat. Additional regatta venue options
include our outdoor adult pool or launching off the Fontana Beach into Geneva Lake! A special prize for the triumphant team is presented. Individual prizes
for the winning team members can be added, too, for an additional reward! (A discount is extended when combined with a Team Performance Medley. An
additional fee is applied when regatta venue is the Fontana Beach which includes a donation to the Geneva Lake Water Safety Patrol.)

scavenger hunt
Customized scavenger hunts are our specialty here at The Abbey. Choose an indoor, outdoor or combination setting and allow us to weave your theme, product
line, or meeting focus throughout the clues and format. Hunts can encompass clues in a variety of forms: questions, riddles, puzzles, Google™ maps, and cellguided information. An array of action options are possible which can be incorporated at selected spots once successfully located - caches, team activities,
photographs to be taken, and more. The sky’s the limit when it comes to imagination and creativity for a tailored hunt and we welcome the challenge. The
utilization of company product lines and services, promotions, maxims and meeting outcomes throughout aspects of the hunt can be extremely valuable in
terms of reinforcing key concepts for your meeting. This is not your mother’s scavenger hunt, so be prepared for a hunt you’ll not soon forget!

An effective team working environment with a measure of competitiveness…
is that a healthy goal? You bet! And Abbey Group Pursuits will provide
an awesome backdrop in which to achieve this goal. Your attendees will
be guided through an experiential event that will be not only fun, but
substantive as well as incorporating creativity, collaboration and plenty of
takeaways for each member. Combining a team building experience with
a meal is an excellent option that assists clients in fitting all the necessary
meeting components into their agenda. So, let the competition begin. Your
members will be divided into teams where the format is comprised of two
time frame segments:
Phase II:
Teams move into their dining room complete with Mediterranean décor.
- One signature pizza is delivered to each pizza company table.
- A pizza dinner buffet featuring pizzas from each company is
accompanied by a salad bar, bread sticks and dessert.
- Pizza company commercials are performed
- Judges rate the signature pizzas, pizza box logos, and commercials
- Category team winners and awards are presented
- A team award is included in the event
Phase I:
Each team member will don a chef’s hat and apron amidst the ambience
of Italian restaurant music. (Frequently clients incorporate appetizers and
a bar at an extra cost to round out the event.)
- Choose Team/Pizza Company name and design a logo on a box
- Shop at the Ingredient Market for company’s signature pizza
- Create 2 signature pizzas (1 for team and 1 for judges)
- Create 30 second commercial to market pizzas
“Gold” pizza pan awards are presented to the winning team of each
category. Additional gold pizza pan awards for each team member or other
team or individual prizes may be incorporated as desired by the client at
an additional cost with or without assistance of the Abbey Group Pursuits
team. Abbey Group Pursuits will provide a local pizza aficionado(s) to judge
the event or judges can be chosen by the client.

be inspired
scavenger hunt
Transformations are the essence of a team building event. Through the Be Inspired Scavenger Hunt, your group will take a fun-filled step down the path
toward transforming current relationships with one another to a new level. Your associates will be divided in advance into transformation teams. Each team
will have an opportunity to meet in advance to determine their unique team name. “There’ll be some changes made” as each team will be given the directions
and guidelines of the Be Inspired Scavenger Hunt. Each team receives an Abbey Cinch Pack (Additional Abbey Cinch Packs may be purchased for
each participant at an additional cost.) containing materials needed to aid them in their hunt - master clue list, Google™ map of Fontana,
pad of paper, pen, markers, brushes, etc.
A series of stations are located throughout The Abbey property and the outlying Village of Fontana. Each transformation team will need to collaborate
together to create an action plan for solving the clues and identifying each location. Once correctly discovered, team members will be required to obtain the
respective station’s cache…whatever form each may take. In some cases, they will unearth the cache upon discovering the station. In other cases, they will
need to discover the person who possesses the cache at the station and possibly perform a challenge. Working against the clock and against one another,
teams will return to their starting point. The final stage of the event is the Inspiration stage where – once provided with the guidelines - teams will use their
cache materials and templates to be inspired and transform their canvasses together - through painting - with a team effort. What unfolds before their eyes
is an artistic representation of their team journey and efforts along the way. (Cost may vary depending upon elements chosen.)

bike building breakthrough
make a difference event
Ensure your team’s time here at The Abbey is memorable in a unique way by incorporating a charitable element to your Abbey Group Pursuits event. Making
teams…making memories…giving back is what it is all about with our Make-A-Difference team building events. Bike Building Breakthrough begins with a
competitive aspect which is facilitated through a series of “road blocks.” Teams duke it out through individual and head-to-head road block competitions. A
road block competition menu contains a wide array of physical, mental and hybrid activities from which to choose to be facilitated for your group. The second
phase of the event brings all of the teams together. Each team is provided the parts and tools to assemble a boy’s and/or girl’s bicycle(s). Once assembled, the
fun ramps up as each team literally rolls into test run mode to ensure the quality control of their final product(s) through either a race or an obstacle course.
But wait…the event is near completion, but not over yet. Memories are made for all - those giving and those receiving - as children from a regional charitable
organization arrive and are guests of your corporate team as each bike and helmet is presented to a wide-eyed little boy or girl.
(Charitable recipients can be coordinated through our Abbey Group Pursuits team or through the client.)

build-a-putt
mini golf
An event filled with an element of creativity, engineering and ingenuity! The entire group is divided into teams which respectively work together to design and
build several mini-golf holes. (The number of holes is determined by the number of teams.) In addition to a set of basic construction materials and tools, each
team receives a supply of unique and somewhat unusual building supplies from which to fashion their mini-golf holes. An entire putt-putt golf course unfolds
and the energy of the group ramps up as all grab a putter and play a round. The assortment of building materials can easily be customized to encompass
a meeting theme or a company’s product line/service. Build-A-Putt can be facilitated in its totality within one time frame or may be split into two sessions –
building and putting – with a meeting or meal scheduled between the two sessions. Two popular add-ons to this event are cocktails and appetizers for the
building phase and pub games (such as foosball and billiards) to accompany the putting phase.

You can be assured that those barriers will disappear as your group competes in our Olympics Overdrive available outdoors as well as indoors. A mixture of
athletic, inventive, challenging, or zany events combines to create a fast-paced and lively environment in Olympic Park’s home base at The Abbey Resort. Based
upon the characteristics of the attendees and the identified outcomes to be achieved, the format can encompass field games, zany contests or a combination
of both. The client chooses from a host of contests and relays appropriate for their group to be facilitated ranging from Sand Volleyball, Badminton, Disc
Golf, Table Tennis, Soccer Croquet, Hippity Hops, Balloon Waddle, Dodgeball, Darts, Tug-o-War, or any of our Abbey Overdrive Challenges! Healthy business
relationships are fostered as team members relax and give it a try as everyone competes in a variety of relays for a spot on the podium

We suggest you don’t select The Abbey for your corporate meeting venue and head back to the work-a-day world without meeting the lake as well. That would
be a shame. So, take our advice and send off your crews of attendees to step aboard their team’s vessel to explore and experience Geneva Lake together. In
an out-of-the-ordinary event, the crews will connect not only with our beautiful Lake Geneva natural resource, but also with one another in a format that will
develop camaraderie and encourage their reliance upon one another. Each team climbs aboard a pontoon boat complete with an experienced skipper at
the helm. However, in what direction your vessel heads will depend upon the crew. They will collectively draw upon the tools, maps and clues with which each
boat’s crew are provided as well as depend upon one another’s strengths and fortes. It’s a race to the finish to locate the clues, solve the puzzles and answer
the final conundrum. Discover Lake Geneva and discover one another! When it’s all said and done. So let the games begin!

way. And what better venue than the beautiful Geneva Lake waters? Novices and seasoned sailors alike will be challenged as learning curves rise and spirits
soar with the confidence and feeling of accomplishment. The event begins with an introductory session for the entire group on land led by instructors from
the Geneva Lake Sailing School with the next step directly into a Sonar sailboat. Complete with a GLSS instructor to guide you and the remainder of your
crew safely through this hands-on sailing experience, you will learn basic sailing skills, gain firsthand experience crewing the Sonar, and develop the nautical
skills needed to earn the bragging rights of first across the finish line as your event culminates in a company regatta.

Take a mixture of tasks that ordinarily do not belong together – aka, a medley – add a dose of difficulty and just the right amount of competition and you’ve
got a Team Performance Medley to contend with! Teams compete against the clock and against their opponents as they make their way through a series
of Abbey Challenges. Competing in a host of activities that foster solving problems utilizing physicality, imagination and resourcefulness is the core to this
medley. Teams progress through stations such as Brain Drain, Team Skis, Spider Writer, Silent Opera, Invisible Maze, Tallest Tower and many more from which
to choose. Points earned at each station can be accumulated to earn buying power for a culminating event such as an Abbey Regatta. Descriptions of a
sampling of station choices are provided under separate cover. (A $10/person discount is extended when combined with an Abbey Regatta.)

make a difference event
This event starts off with a bang as teams compete as they traverse through various table top games and tasks - performing challenges along their way
through the Toy Works “board game.” The ups and downs of the table top games set the stage for collaboration, resourcefulness and reliance upon one
another’s strengths. After the “Toy Works” game has reached its conclusion, the teams move on to the culminating activity. The essence of their experience
will be captured and woven together with a heart-warming charitable activity where all groups assemble Little Tikes™ toys for children. Based on the results
of the initial challenges, teams will choose their toy and begin in earnest to assemble it. Once all teams are immersed in their projects, local children in need
joined by their parents will enter the room and the energy level will rise! The corporate teams are surprised with what is occurring and the natural desire
to connect between them and the children unfolds. The room is soon filled with kitchens, work benches, play houses, and cars as the busyness spills over in
