generation of golfers. This program allows kids aged 8 to 14 to play golf for free at all city
operated 9-hole golf course Monday through Friday, and on weekends when accompanied by a
paying adult.
Each child must first get certified for Junior Golf Club prior to playing. Certification clinics will be
held at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at each of the following Family Golf Days. Family Golf Days include free
lessons, food and refreshments, the famous Golfzilla and Golfopotamus, bounce houses and the

Local Pool Locations & Hours
Omaha has many options to chose from for your aquatic experience, with leisure
pools, traditional pools, and spraygrounds. To further enhance recreation
swimming, the City offers "Learn to Swim" classes, Lifeguard training, and water
aerobics year round. We take pride in having one of the nation's best aquatic
programs and are dedicated to demonstrating excellence in the management
and development of our aquatic facilities.
Spraygrounds
Omaha spraygrounds serve as fun and interactive gathering places during the hot
summer months. A variety of spray features appeal to toddlers and older children,
with parents often joining in the fun. Water spraygrounds have distinct
advantages over swimming pools in that they are cost effective and low
maintenance, and water-play activities extend well beyond normal pool season.
Hours are 10:00am to 8:00pm daily, Memorial Day through Labor Day, weather
permitting.
7002 Military Ave.
The newest sprayground to Omaha
Parks and Recreation, it will be
dedicated on May 17, 2015 at
our Benson Park Grand Opening.
Benson
The Benson sprayground is a 3250
square foot padded area that is
decorated with blue and green wave
patterns and lily pads. There are 29
spray features that include images of
cattails, insects, and flowers.
Around the sprayground is a picnic
table area with 15' x 50' shade canopy
and bench seating that are all handicap
accessible.
Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge
705 Riverfront Dr.
With a backdrop of the unique Bob
Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge and the
Missouri River, children can interact
with water sprays that rise from the
circular plaza. Parents can sit on the
stepped seating or the grassy slope
and watch the kids or they can join
in the fun.
Enjoy live music? Check out
the Bridge Beats free concert
series.
Fontenelle
4405 Fontenelle Blvd.
Fontenelle Sprayground contains
nine spray features including colorful
dumping bells, spinners, and spray
"flowers". Ground sprays are
interactive - when a child steps on a
spray, nearby sprays react by rising
higher. Water jellies are low
sprays that are toddler
friendly. Parents can sit nearby and
observe the fun under shaded
benches.
Kountze
1920 Pinkney St.
This sprayground was funded by the
Peter Kiewit Foundation in 1999 and
has interactive palm trees, spray
hoops and ground sprays.
Morton
5724 S. 41st St.
Opened in 2014, the sprayground is
a sun themed water playground and
has a total 3000 sq ft. This park has
an area designed for smaller
children equipped with smaller spray
features. Dumping buckets, sunshaped sprays, and larger features
ensure the sprayground will
entertain kids of all ages.
Orchard
6502 Hartman Ave.
Orchard Park Sprayground opened
in 2002 and features a space theme
with the sun, stars and planets
illustrated in the rubber surfacing.
Spray components include a water
wheel, an arch, spray hoops, a
donut and ground sprays. The
Sprayground was constructed as
part of the Orchard Park
Rehabilitation project.
Upland
3104 Jefferson St.
Upland opened in 1999 and features
a sea serpent, spray hoops and
daisies. Spray features are activated
by the kids themselves when they
touch the activator posts. Upland
Sprayground was constructed as
part of the Upland Park Renovation,
replacing a deteriorating, outdated
swimming pool.
Seymour Smith Park
6802 Harrison St.
ALLPLAY's water park was
designed barrier-free allowing
everyone to escape the summer's
heat. The sprayground was built
without curbs and steps to
complement ALLPLAY Park's
universal accessibility concept.
Westwood Heights
12334 Seldin Dr.
The water playground features a
Rainbow, a Serpent, Ground
Sprays, Dumping Buckets,
Elephant, and Sea Horse spray
cannons. Kids activate the sprays
themselves by placing their hand on
top of a blue post. The various spray
features turn on and off randomly.
