Loving Others As Jesus Loved Us
Merry
Christmas !
Many Rockford Area Veterans in
Nursing Homes are lonely over
the holidays. They have sacrificed
deeply to secure our personal
freedoms. We would like to show
our respect, love and appreciation at
this time of year.
Circle of Love Foundation is assisting
Rockford Charter Chapter VietNow in
providing 279 vets in 22 nursing
homes with a lap blanket, white socks
and a plate of home made cookies. If
you could bring 4 dozen cookies in an
airtight disposable container to 1320
East Gate Pkwy on Dec. 2,9, or 16,
2011 after 5 PM, it would brighten the
holidays for someone who sacrificed
for you.
300 dozen cookies are
needed!
God Prints in Happy Valley,
South Africa
What we do in this world is fleeting and soon forgotten. But the
steps we take in the Spirit as we follow and obey the Lord remain
forever because they are Godprints. Our mission to Happy Valley,
South Africa left some Godprints and brought joy to people who
were living in darkness and sadness. Circle of Love, Crossroads
KZN, Crossroads Community Church of Freeport and Saint’s
Church of Stanger worked together for a medical/ evangelistic
outreach to Happy Valley, South Africa.

Circle of Love Foundation will be sending a team of
young people on a service trip to Guatemala Dec. 27,
2011-Jan. 3, 2012.
Poor children at the Escuela
Integrada in Antigua are in need of new or lightly used
school shoes. Many walk a long distance to school.
Please contact Helen Laib if you can donate shoes at 815282-9243 or drop them off at 4804 Innsbruck Dr.,
Rockford by December 15, 2011. No flip flops, thongs,
or sandals. Children’s shoes only.
While in South Africa, Dr. Helen Laib was honored
to be the guest speaker at the Gold Graduation for
Mentor Peer Educators. This is a values based
leadership program for high school students aimed at
eradicating the root cause of HIV/AIDS by teaching
students to make good life choices and to be a role
models for others. Students have been in the program
for 3 years with increasing opportunities and
responsibilities each year. One Gold student was the
only one chosen out of all the province of KwaZulu
Natal to receive a scholarship for a leadership program
at a prestigious school in Johannesburg. Our ministry
partner, Crossroads KZN, in an implementing
organization for the Gold program in the Durban area.
The program has been very successful.

852 patients were served at the medical outreach. 111
people professed a new faith in Jesus as Savior. Mike
Sowell, pastor of Faith Center Freeport and Director of
Rockford Reach Out Jail Ministry preached to the

Zambian Girl Receives the Gift of Sight
Imagine not being able to see. Not being able to go to
school. A life lost at 5 years old! A young girl in
Zambia had dense congenital cataracts and could
barely see light. Circle of Love sponsored cataract
surgery for her and now she can see!

Huay Say Noi Church, Laos
A church was established in 2007 at Huay Say Noi village in Laos.
Members built a bamboo church but the church suffered
persecution. The pastor was martyred and the church burned
down. God has softened the hearts of the village officials who are
now willing for a new church to be built. It will be the flagship
church of Bokeo province and will be used for teaching seminars. .
Funds are needed for this project. This is a tremendous
opportunity to impact and encourage the Christians of Laos.

Mahendra Singh Visits Rockford
Mahendra Singh with EduCare cchild
Our South African partners, Mahendra & Lynette Singh,
Director of Crossroads KZN, visited Rockford Nov. 1229, 2011. They were able to connect with many old
friends and make new friends and new church
connections in Rockford. Funds were raised for the many
kingdom building projects underway in South Africa.
While here, they celebrated Lynette’s birthday, their 25th
anniversary and American Thanksgiving.
