Dr. Sandhu received his initial dental education from Govt. Dental College and Hospital, Amritsar, India. He
received his doctorate from the University of Ottawa, Canada in 1982. He was a recipient of prestigious doctoral
and post-doctoral fellowship of the Medical Research of Canada. He completed a post-doctoral fellowship at
College of Dentistry at New York University. In 1985, he completed his specialty training in periodontics from
Loma Linda University, U.S.A. He was awarded the Ontario Ministry of Health Career Scientist Award in 1985.
Dr. Sandhu maintains an active periodontal practice along with other administrative roles and scholarly activities.
He has lectured in Canada, U.S.A., Italy and India. He has more than forty publications in international journals.

Dr. Todd C. Snyder
Dr. Snyder attended three years of college at the University of California at Riverside,
foregoing the last year and a Bachelor of Science Degree to enroll early into dental school.
Dr. Snyder received his D.D.S. in 1994 from the University of California at Los Angeles,
School of Dentistry. He subsequently completed
a General Practice Residency at the V.A. Medical
Center, La Jolla, California.
In 1995, Dr. Snyder returned to the UCLA School
of Dentistry. As faculty in UCLA’s Center for
Esthetic Dentistry (CED) he co-developed and
was co-director of the first and only
comprehensive two-year postgraduate program
in Esthetic and Contemporary Restorative
Dentistry. He still maintains his faculty status at
UCLA in the section of Biomaterials. Dr. Snyder
is also a faculty member at Esthetic
Professionals training facility.

Dr. Jovicich received his dental degree from Tufts Dental
School and his Postgraduate degree in Endodontics from USC.
Dr. Jovicich has taught at UCLA and maintains a private

Please join us for a brief, yet powerful lecture from Dr. Thomas Jovicich, one of
Southern California's premiere endodontists. Root canal therapy requires advanced
technical skills. These skills may be “compromised” by techniques that are
unnecessarily difficult. Correct diagnosis and a biological understanding of new
materials and techniques can improve results to ensure a healthy apical periodontium,
a high probability of success and a sense of achievement. The overview of root canal
therapy will concentrate on improving canal preparation with rotary nickel-titanium
instruments and improving obturation results through implementation of thermal
condensation. Dr. Jovicich will review newer endodontic techniques which will improve
patient comfort and ensure a higher endodontic success rate while simplifying your
treatment regimen.

This course is designed to incorporate the Art of
Adhesive Dentistry into your current practice. An
overview discussion of current aesthetic materials
utilized in direct and indirect restorations will give the
participant useful insight into what to use when and
where in a detailed step-by-step fashion for both the
anterior and posterior dentition. This program
concentrates on philosophies regarding placing direct
and indirect aesthetic restorations to provide your
patient with an excellent result, without complicated
techniques.
Fundamental concepts in diagnosis and material
utilization will be covered. There will be discussions on
post-operative sensitivity, open contacts and other
complications that arise from bonded restorations.
Update will be given on some of the latest techniques
and materials to be implemented with minimal
complications. Fundamental and simplistic approaches
to delivering consistently optimal results to your patients
will be discussed so that you can immediately
implement these techniques and procedures.
Topics include: diagnosis with modern technology, smile
design, comprehensive care, anterior composites,
indirect restorations, tissue management, quadrant
dentistry, impressions, temporaries, post-operative
sensitivity and complications.
