How to order FRL modules or FRL units
FRL equipment can be ordered and delivered in different levels:
1) As "stand alone units" - Choose the relevant module marked with thread size from the
catalogue pages
2) As "pre specified complete units" - See the overview and following catalogue pages.
3) As "complete systems, customer made" - Contact nearest Bosch Rexroth branch office.
4) As units for "self assembling to complete systems" - Follow the steps described below.

Choose the relevant modules and options (if necessary) from the following catalogue pages.
The modules shall be marked "without flange".
How to order modules for "self assembling". Step 3: Add flanges with connection thread
Add 1 pair of flanges with connection thread (for inlet and outlet sides).
It is recommended to use the nom. dimension on the thread.
The tube dimension is then depending on the choosen fittings.

An Exhaust silencer is recommended for the Emergency stop valve and Isolating valve.

How to order modules for "self assembling". Example
Background:
You need an air flow of about 2000 l/min (71 SCFM).
You want to start with a manually operated Isolating valve for shut-off function and have a Filter/Regulator as well as an Emergency Stop valve.
Step 1: Choose size C15. Flow capacity 2200 l/min (78 SCFM).
Step 2: Choose the units from the catalogue pages

Step 3: Add 1 pair of flanges G 1/2 for size C1 5,5 351 02602 0 from list above.

Step 6: Choose a pilot valve 5420800390 + a silencer 5354011130 from list above.

This device is equipped with a system that permits the filling of the lubricator by means of a fitting
located at the lower part of the bowl which can be connected to a tank.
By pressing the filling button the operator opens a venturi which creates a vacuum in the upper
part of the bowl, this enabling the oil in the tank to be sucked up.
* Note! Polycarbonate does not withstand oils with aggressive compounds, e.g alcohols. We
recommend oil of the ATF-DEXRON type (part no. 8982000010)or oil with an aniline point of 93
°C ±5 °C.(199 °F ±41 °F)

Function:
- Valve: Secondary pressure builds up gradually due to a nozzle (one of 0,8 mm dia. is built-in
and a further 5 nozzles with greater diameters are supplied).
Max. flow is only attained when the piloting system is activated by a control component and all
conditions defined by the user are satisfied (Programmable controller for example).
- Unit: Associates the function of the emergency stop valve and of the piloted progressive startup valve (see above).
Pilot control can be either solenoid (with CNOMO interface) or pneumatic pilot port.
Control pressure is 3 to 10 bar (44 to 145 psi).
This valve is supplied without flanges.
Application

replaced with clean, non-lubricated air (oil filtering up to 99%), which is then released into the
atmosphere.
- Simultaneous silencing of up to 30 dB (A) is also achieved.
- The differential pressure gauge supplied shows the pressure head (level of pressure head
corresponds to degree of clogging in the cartridge).

Technical Characteristics
A library of products designed for the preparation of compressed air and in particular of "FRL
modules" sizes C4i, C15i, C25i.
This system, consisting of "dwg" indexes, is compatible with AutoCAD 10 and later versions. This
library uses the processes described in Autolisp and requires at 640 kB memory.
It consists of three 3"1/2 diskettes and a manual. The menus and the manual are written in three
languages "English, German, French".
It is possible for the user of AutoCAD LT to use the AutoCAD processes to insert the blocks
representing the different products. A ".txt" index gives the list of indexes representing the
different products in the function of the selected menu.

The drawings of the air treatment products are also contained in the general library 2D.
This library is presented on CD-ROM and usable with AUTOCAD starting version 12 and
AUTOCAD LT version 3 and 97. This library on CD-ROM contains also the files in DXF format.
