ColonialBase™ Rubber Wall Base Type TP
ColonialBase is a flexible, rubber wall base that simulates painted,
sculpted wood base moulding.
ColonialBase is more economical than traditional wood base
and is great for remodel or new construction in commercial,
institutional, or hospitality settings. It is dent and scratch resistant
and requires no painting. ColonialBase’s flexibility makes it great
for straight or curved walls while hiding imperfections.
Continuous, seamless rolls are perfect for large areas. Pre-cut
inside or outside corners can be ordered from the factory. Base
also curves around 10" plus columns for a great architectural finish.
ColonialBase is easily installed with Burke acrylic cove base
adhesive. No nailing, priming, painting, or heavy cleanup
required. Use Burke® Color Caulk for finish and touchup.

Mercer Vinyl is made from

Burke’s premium molded wall base, unsurpassed in quality and
performance; the perfect choice for your next installation.
BurkeBase® is vulcanized thermoset rubber and molded to provide the
dimensional consistency and stability that prevents unsightly shrinkage or
expansion. BurkeBase® wraps around corners, columns, and curved walls
with a special positive top return that ensures a snug wall fit. BurkeBase’s
natural satin finish works well with varying textures of flooring and walls.
The complete Uni-Color™ System of 20 colors is available to match the
entire line of Burke Flooring products, including Tile, Stair Treads,
Mouldings, and accessory products. An additional 55 wallbase colors
offers a wide array of sophisticated hues. Custom color matching is always

Formulated to resist scuffs or abrasions, RubberMyte® Wall Base
is a coextruded thermoplastic rubber that will not fade or crack
and easily forms to curves and corners for a clean installation.

NANO-SILVER, extremely small particles of metallic
silver, is added to Burke LVT giving a durable antimicrobial action. Silver particles are microscopic,
making them invisible to the human eye.

How does
work?
Luxury Vinyl Tile includes a process to add Ag+,
Silver ions of nano size particles to safely coat floors,
in a colorless anti-bacterial armor. Silver inhibits the
growth of bacteria by deactivating the bacteria's oxygen
metabolism enzymes. In turn, this destroys the
bacteria cell membranes, killing the bacteria and
stopping replication.

ADA requires nosing angles to be between 60° and 90° from the horizontal. This product

Our Safety Glow Maxxi-Treads
use innovative technology to
embed photoluminescent stripes
directly into the treads at the
leading edge. That, combined
with Maxxi-Treads’ grooved
surface provides both visual
and tactile features when you
are faced with a “lights out”
emergency.
Escape routing is very important
to any building’s design. This
material will illuminate for an
extended period during an
emergency, assisting occupants
to find escape routing out of
the building. And because the
photoluminescent material is
embedded into the tread itself,
Safety-Glow products will help
make visible a safe, clear path
free from trip hazards.
Safety Glow Visual Nosings are charged under normal interior
lighting conditions. When the lights go out, this material
releases a stored light energy, which is visible for hours. This
product also meets the California Disabled Access Regulations
Title 24, Section 3306, striping for the visually impaired when
contrasting colors are used.

As an integral part of the Burke Flooring System, Burke adhesives
are formulated to meet municipal, state and federal code
compliance regulations. They do not contribute to IAQ
(Interior Air Quality) problems when applied as instructed.
A stair tread nose-filler caulking is available, along with the
required gun and mixer tips. Another unique feature–unused
caulk can be saved and used later with another clean tip,
available from your Burke distributor!

Burke Adhesives
BR-721
Burke BR-721 Solvent-Free, Two-Part Epoxy Tile and Stair Tread
Adhesive is used for 12 x 12 rubber tiles, Rouleau Tile, Rubber
and Vinyl stair treads and nosings. BR-721 is for use over
porous or non-porous substrates.
Step-Bond Adhesive Tape
Burke Step-Bond is a super strong, double sided, self-adhesive tape
developed for the installation of stair treads, risers and stringers.
Step-Bond is available in either one-inch or six-inch
wide rolls.
Step-Bond Tape is also suggested as
an alternative adhesive for Burke’s
Rouleau Uni-Step Tread/Riser.
Step-Bond is a labor saving alternative
to traditional canned glue with no
applicators or messy clean-up. Simply
roll tape onto tread or riser surface, peel
off the protective paper backing and stick

BR-101
Burke BR-101 Rubber & Vinyl White Acrylic Wall Base Adhesive
is a white acrylic latex for cove and carpet base on dry, porous
interior walls. Solvent-Free with no VOC (Volatile Organic
Compound) emissions.
BR-711
Burke BR-711 Rubber and Vinyl Stair Tread and Tile Adhesive is
specifically formulated for installing rubber tile, rubber and
vinyl stair treads, risers, and stair nosings. BR-711 is a solventfree aqueous adhesive that only needs to be applied to one
surface. It allows repositioning of treads during installation.
For above grade, porous, moisture-free wood or concrete
substrates. Solvent-Free with no VOC emissions.
BR-715
Burke BR-715 Solvent-Free Epoxy Nose Filler prevents cracking
or flexing of treads and nosings by uniformly molding a strong
bonding support to the under step. When properly mixed it
will not sag and will repair cracks, holes, depressions, worn
and broken stair edges. This solvent-free epoxy may be used
on wood, concrete, or non-galvanized metal stairs.
NOTE: All Burke Stair Treads must use nose-filler in the nose, if
any void exists between nose and substrate.

Maintenance Methods
Polish Buildup
Periodically, when heavy layers of polish build up or as traffic dictates, it is necessary
to strip the polish from the floor using a stripping compound recommended for
use on rubber floors. If a buffer is used for stripping, floor should be kept wet during
stripping process. Rinse floor thoroughly, and polish and buff as for a new floor.
Sealers can be used if they are part of a compatible system that can be readily
removed when so desired.
Many products are available that can do a good job of cleaning and polishing
rubber tile. Specific products cannot be recommended since Burke has no control
over their manufacture or application. Consult manufacturers, suppliers and janitorial
services as to the suitability of a specific product for rubber tile maintenance.
Wait several days, at least 48 hours, after installation before cleaning a new
rubber floor. This allows time for the flooring to bond firmly. During this period
the flooring should be protected against traffic. Heavy paper overlays are suggested
to prevent scratching or damage from dirt, grime, plaster, etc.
Prior to usage, all floor tiles (except Rouleau®) and all smooth stair treads
should be cleaned with a commercial quality floor stripper. Also, apply at least
one coat slip-resistant floor finish.
Cautions
Oil, grease, sweeping compounds containing oil, or treated mops should never be
used. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, naphtha, or similar solvents to remove spots
from rubber floors. Paste wax, paint, varnish, lacquer, shellac, or other solvent
containing coatings should not be used on a rubber floor.
All recommendations for the use of these products are based on many years of
experience. However, the use of these products is beyond the company's control,
and Burke does not guarantee the results to be obtained nor accept any responsibility
for injury or damage that may result from their use.
Applying Polish
Use liquid emulsion polish. Pour polish into shallow receptacle. Dip applicator
into polish and apply a thin even coat.
For industrial installations use a clean mop and wringer pail. Use light pressure
to wring out excess polish from the mop in order to apply evenly without puddling.
Allow polish to dry completely (about 30 minutes or longer). Do not buff
polish unless manufacturer recommends it. For a new floor, apply a second coat
immediately.
Check container instructions for use on rubber tile.
Rouleau® Maintenance
Initial Cleaning
Rouleau® tile has a special protective coating which acts as a protective layer against dirt
during construction and must be removed before floor is used. To remove coating, sweep
or vacuum the floor. Apply diluted Taski “Profi” (10 to 1) to area. Let solution act for 15
to 20 minutes (do not allow solution to dry). Scrub area with a single disc machine and a
soft synthetic brush. Pick (wet vacuum) residue up and rinse with clear water. Allow floor
to dry, and dry buff with single disc machine and soft synthetic or natural brush.
Normal Maintenance
Burke flooring should be regularly swept, mopped with lukewarm water, to
maintain appearance. Spills should be removed promptly to avoid staining. If
polish wears off in certain sections of the floor, these areas can be cleaned and
repolished without having to begin the process again for the entire floor.
Normal Maintenance
After initial cleaning, Rouleau® tile can be maintained by simply sweeping or
vacuuming the floor and spot cleaning with “Profi”.
Occasional dry polishing with a single disc machine and a soft synthetic or natural
brush will restore the tile’s natural luster.

• Be sufficiently packaged and labeled.
• Not wear out within their respective warranty periods if properly
installed, maintained, and used in the right conditions.
Any defects must be reported to Burke within 30 days after
discovery of defect. Always dry lay floor before installation to inspect
for defects. Burke reserves the right to inspect all claims against
our warranties. Burke will not be liable for shipping costs of assumed
defective products if the product is found not to be defective. In the event
that labor charges are paid, Burke will pay normal and reasonable rates
consistent with industry standards as determined by Burke.
Any special condition warranties must be in writing from Burke’s
president or director of all flooring sales.
Warranties Will Be Void If:
• Burke Adhesives are not used.
• Products are not installed and maintained according to Burke
instructions.
• Products are not first quality (ie. seconds, imperfects).
• Products are installed outdoors, in wet areas or in below freezing
temperatures.

3.01 INSTALLATION

as Endura Rubber Tile. Endura's exceptional durability and high-performance compound eliminates nose breakage and cracking and does
not require the additional cost of epoxy nose caulking. Endura is the
only U.S.-based manufacturer to provide a warranty against both
excessive wear for 10 years and against stair nose breakage for five
years. Endura stair tread backs are sanded and free from contaminants
that could inhibit a firm adhesive bond, thus ensuring an excellent
value and a risk-free installation.

colors and patterns. Simply submit the artwork you want for your
design and we will get you a detailed quote.
It’s a unique way to extend your identity into your facility.
Now you can combine Endura colors, profiles and patterns to
achieve dramatic new looks in rubber flooring.
Combine Flecksibles and Solid colors from Endura’s UniColor and Flecksibles color programs. Then choose from the
patterns shown below or develop your own.
With Endura’s SpectraJet Program, you can add your own
signature for added flair in an otherwise monolithic floor. Tie
together color and design schemes within your interior using
SpectraJet keyways of color. Or use your color and design
combinations for border treatments or wayfinding.

MAINTENANCE & WARRANTY
Maintenance
As an integral part of the Flooring System, Burke adhesives
are formulated to meet municipal, state and federal code
compliance regulations. They do not contribute to IAQ
(Interior Air Quality) problems when applied as instructed.

Burke Adhesives
Step-Bond Adhesive Tape
(FORMERLY ENDURA INSTA-STEP)
Burke Step-Bond is a super strong, double sided, self-adhesive
tape developed for the installation of stair treads, risers and
stringers. Step-Bond is available in either one-inch or six-inch
wide rolls.
Step-Bond Tape is also suggested as an alternative adhesive
for Burke’s Rouleau Uni-Step Tread/Riser.
Step-Bond is a labor saving alternative to traditional canned
glue with no applicators
or messy clean-up. Simply roll
tape onto tread
or riser surface, peel off the protective paper backing and stick
in place.
BR-711 (FORMERLY ENDURA 118)
Burke BR-711 Rubber and Vinyl Stair Tread and Tile Adhesive is
specifically formulated for installing rubber tile, rubber and
vinyl stair treads, risers, and stair nosings. BR-711 is a solventfree aqueous adhesive that only needs to be applied to one
surface. It allows repositioning of treads during installation.
For above grade, porous, moisture-free wood or concrete
substrates. Solvent-Free with no VOC emissions.
Many products are available that can do a good job of cleaning and
polishing rubber tile. Consult manufacturers, suppliers and janitorial services as to the suitability of a specific product for rubber tile maintenance.
Initial Cleaning
Wait several days, at least 48 hours, after installation before cleaning a
new rubber floor. This allows time for the flooring to bond firmly.
During this period the flooring should be protected against traffic. Heavy
paper overlays are suggested to prevent scratching or damage from dirt,
grime, plaster, etc.
Endura® tile has a special protective coating which acts as a protective layer
against dirt during construction and must be removed before floor is used. To
remove coating, sweep or vacuum the floor. Apply diluted Taski “Profi” (10 to
1) to area. Let solution act for 15 to 20 minutes (do not allow solution to
dry). Scrub area with a single disc machine and a soft synthetic brush. Pick
(wet vacuum) residue up and rinse with clear water. Allow floor to dry, and
dry buff with single disc machine and soft synthetic or natural brush.
Normal Maintenance
After initial cleaning, Endura® tile can be maintained by simply sweeping
or vacuuming the floor and spot cleaning with “Profi”.
Occasional dry polishing with a single disc machine and a soft synthetic
or natural brush will restore the tile’s natural luster.
NOTE: Not recommended for outdoor use.
Cautions
Oil, grease, sweeping compounds containing oil, or treated mops should
never be used. Do not use gasoline, kerosene, naphtha, or similar solvents
to remove spots from rubber floors. Paste wax, paint, varnish, lacquer,
shellac, or other solvent containing coatings should not be used on a rubber floor.
All recommendations for the use of these products are based on many
years of experience. However, the use of these products is beyond the
company's control, and Burke does not guarantee the results to be obtained
nor accept any responsibility for injury or damage that may result from
their use.

Year Limited Warranty
All Products Will:
• Be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time
of shipment.
• Conform, within reasonable variation allowable for this industry, to
the description (size, color, pattern) on the sales order.
• Be sufficiently packaged and labeled.
• Not wear out within their respective warranty periods if properly
installed, maintained, and used in the right conditions.
Warranties Will Be Void If:
• Burke Adhesives are not used.
• Products are not installed and maintained according to Burke
instructions.
• Products are not first quality (ie. seconds, imperfects).
• Products are installed outdoors, in wet areas or in below freezing
temperatures.
Conditions Or Affects Not Warranted:
• Exact color or pattern matches.
• Color degradation caused by sunlight or other excessive U.V. rays.
• Problems caused by excessive moisture, hydrostatic pressure, or alkali.
• Abuse or abnormal conditions.
• Tile installed in areas exposed to animal fat and petroleum biproducts.
Warranty Terms
Endura tile and treads, EcoScore, SRT, Endura EcoScore and other products
in this catalog are covered by terms of the Burke’s standard warranty.

Any defects must be reported to Burke within 30 days after discovery of
defect. Always dry lay floor before installation to inspect for defects. Burke
reserves the right to inspect all claims against our warranties. Burke will
not be liable for shipping costs of assumed defective products if the
product is found not to be defective. In the event that labor charges are
paid, Burke will pay normal and reasonable rates consistent with industry
standards as determined by Burke.
BR-715
Burke BR-715 Solvent-Free Epoxy Nose Filler prevents cracking
or flexing of treads and nosings by uniformly molding a strong
bonding support to the under step. When properly mixed it
will not sag and will repair cracks, holes, depressions, worn
and broken stair edges. This solvent-free epoxy may be used
on wood, concrete, or non-galvanized metal stairs.
BR-721
(FORMERLY ENDURABOND 700)
Burke BR-721 Solvent-Free, Two-Part Epoxy Tile and Stair
Tread Adhesive is used for 12 x 12 rubber tiles, Rouleau Tile,
Rubber and Vinyl stair treads and nosings. BR-721 is for use
over porous or non-porous substrates.
BR-725 (FORMERLY ENDURATHANE 600™)
Burke BR-725 ia a solvent-free and nonflammable two-part
adhesive. It will cure at subfloor temperatures to 50° F (7° C)
and can be used where traces of old asphalt adhesive remains
in slab pores. Can be used on porous or nonporous subfloors
constructed of concrete, proper subfloor plywood, or metal.
Use of Burke adhesives is required for Endura warranties to
remain in effect.
