Carrera Podium nasce nel 1989 quale logica prosecuzione
delle esperienze maturate nelle corse professionistiche
dall’ex professionista Davide Boifava e da Luciano Bracchi.
L’obiettivo dell’azienda, forte oggi di una storia ricca di
oltre 500 vittorie nelle competizioni più prestigiose, è
semplice e chiaro: realizzare i sogni degli appassionati
della bicicletta attraverso un prodotto di qualità superiore
capace di trasmettere emozioni, piacere, ma anche quella
straordinaria sensazione di benessere fisico che aiuta a
mantenere in forma il nostro corpo. In una sola parola,
un prodotto capace di trasmettere un gusto tutto italiano.
Unico ed inimitabile. Un obiettivo che Carrera Podium
persegue oggi come ieri con immutata passione attraverso
una filosofia incentrata sulla rigorosa professionalità
e sul know-how, da un lato puntando sulla ricerca e la
messa a punto di nuove tecnologie sia per quanto riguarda
i materiali sia per ciò che concerne le metodologie di
lavorazione; dall’altro caratterizzandosi per la concreta
capacità di anticipare le tendenze di un mercato in
costante evoluzione, sviluppando parallelamente al
prodotto anche un servizio di qualità superiore, realmente
attento alle esigenze e alle aspettative della clientela.
Carrera Podium was established in 1989 by the
ex pro rider Davide Boifava, Luciano Bracchi. It
was founded as a result of experiences gained in
professional cycling races by the three partners.
The company’s goal which is simple and clear, and which
is supported by a rich history of over 500 victories in the
most prestigious competitions, is to make bike lovers’
dreams come true with a superior quality product able
to give thrills and enjoyment including the extraordinary
feeling of well-being that comes from keeping our body fit.
In one word, a product capable of conveying an
all-Italian taste which is unique and inimitable.
Carrera Podium is aiming at this goal today, just like it has
been doing in the past, with unaltered passion based on a
philosophy centred on strict professionalism and know-how.
On one hand the company aims at research and
setting-up innovative technologies as regarded to
materials and workmanship methods, on the other hand
it stands out for its actual capability of being ahead of

prodotto, attiva una garanzia contro il furto molto efficace

della tua bici Carrera. Grazie al Podium Chip, annegato
nel telaio, è infatti possibile verificare l’originalità del
prodotto, la sua corretta manutenzione ed assistenza post
vendita, verificarne la proprietà, attivare la garanzia sul
prodotto ed accedere alle funzioni antifurto dello stesso.
Carrera Podium segna un altro importate passo nell’innovazione
del prodotto, al servizio della sicurezza e a garanzia dell’originalità.
TECHNOLOGY
The basic carbon is processed using a new-generation
production process known as Va.B.M (Vacuum Bladder
Moulding) with EPS (Expandable Polystyrene Shell) and EPU
(Expandable Polyurethane Shell) technology, which allow for
obtaining a mono-structure finished product, with considerable
advantages in terms of weight and thickness. This high-level
modelling process, under vacuum control, applies the EPS
technology to the tubes of the whole frame, and the EPU shell
technology for the bottom bracket, seat tube and head tube
zones. This technology evens out and stretches the carbon
fibres inside the tubes as well as, making them uniform,
more compact and lightweight (by reducing their thickness).
As a result, the resistance of the carbon used increases from
5% to 10%. This yields an extremely lightweight frame with
a very high STW (Stiffness to Weight) rigidity coefficient.
Il carbonio di base viene lavorato con un processo produttivo
di nuova generazione denominato Va.B.M (Vacuum Bladder
Moulding) con tecnologia EPS (Expandable Polystyrene Shell)
ed EPU (Expandable Polyurethane Shell), che permettono
di ottenere un prodotto finito mono struttura, con evidenti
vantaggi in termini di peso e spessori. Questo processo di
modellazione di alto livello, sotto controllo del vuoto, applica la
tecnologia EPS sulle tubazioni dell’intero telaio e la tecnologia
EPU nelle zone del movimento centrale, tubo sella e tubo sterzo.
Questa tecnologia uniforma e distende le fibre di carbonio
anche all’interno delle tubazioni, rendendole uniformi, più
compatte e leggere (si riescono a ridurre gli spessori) con il
risultato di incrementare le resistenza del carbonio utilizzato
dal 5 al 10%. Si ottengono così un peso super leggero ed un

The CARRERA SL 730 is the crown jewel from the Racing
Series by Carrera-PODIUM.
Tutto il progetto del telaio è stato sviluppato secondo il
rispetto dei nostri 3 concetti cardine del R.R.B.M. Technology
(Road Racing Bicycles Manufacturing ): leggerezza, rigidità,
affidabilità. L’applicazione di materiali compositi altamente
performanti, speciali fibre in graphite/resina epossidica
- una tecnologia derivata direttamente dalla produzione dei
materiali aeronautici, aerospaziali e dal settore automotive rendono CARRERA SL 730 un prodotto altamente innovativo e
tecnologico. Il triangolo anteriore presenta le avveniristiche
tubazioni con design “round to square”, perfette per garantire
rigidità dove serve, direzionalità e perfetto controllo del mezzo,
anche nelle situazioni di guida più esasperate. Il carbonio
di base viene lavorato con un processo produttivo di nuova
generazione denominato Va.B.M ( Vacuum Bladder Moulding )
con tecnologia EPS ( Expandable Polystyrene Shell) ed EPU (

pivotal concepts of the R.R.B.M Technology (Road Racing
Bicycles Manufacturing): lightness, rigidity and reliability.
The use of highly performing composite materials, namely
special graphite/epoxy resin fibres—a technology deriving
directly from the aeronautical, aerospace and automotive
sectors—make CARRERA SL 730 a highly innovative and
technological product. The front triangle features cuttingedge tubes with ‘round to square’ design, ideal for ensuring
rigidity when needed, precise riding and perfect control
of the bicycle even in the most demanding situations.

Anche per il modello CARRERA SL 950 utilizziamo
materiali compositi altamente performanti, speciali
fibre in graphite/resina epossidica: una tecnologia
sviluppata nella produzione dei materiali aeronautici,
aerospaziali e nel settore automotive. Il modello SL 950
utilizza un modulo T700 Sc Carbonio Pre-Preg da 24Tons
+ 30Tons, che si caratterizza per essere estremamente
resistente agli urti ed alla fatica meccanica. Il carbonio
di base viene lavorato con un processo produttivo di
nuova generazione denominato Va.B.M (Vacuum Bladder
Moulding) con tecnologia EPU (Expandable Polyurethane
Shell). Il prodotto ottenuto presenta performance di
guida molto elevate: confortevole sulle lunghe distanze,
estremamente veloce e reattivo, con una buona risposta
alle accelerazioni e sollecitazioni laterali. La bici ideale
per chi ricerca qualcosa di esclusivo, ma non estremo,
perfetto per l’appassionato delle lunghe distanze.
For the CARRERA SL 950 model we also used highly

TS in terms of geometry, construction solutions,
weight and riding comfort, though the disc brake is a
new feature introduced in the Carrera Podium range.

The SCATTO is titanium according to Carrera.
Scatto is born out of the union of a noble material, such
as double-thickness Titanium 3AL - 2.5v, and the decadelong experience of Carrera Podium in working these
refined materials. A geometry optimised for competitions

is TIG welded in a protected argon internal atmosphere. A

Stone 29” è il frutto dell’esperienza e della ricerca di
Carrera Podium nello sviluppo di telai da corsa in carbonio
applicato al mondo del Mtb. Dedicato agli agonisti ed
agli appassionati delle 29niners, STONE 29” è realizzato
con l’impiego della tecnologia “Solid Carbon” che
permette di realizzare telai monoscocca di alta qualità.
Questa tecnologia elimina i possibili punti di criticità nel
blocco, conferendo al telaio una rigidità strutturale molto
elevata, che ben si combina con l’effetto anti-vibrante del
carro posteriore, progettato e disegnato per contrastare
ed assorbire al meglio le vibrazioni dell’off road.
La produzione avviene in stampo utilizzando tre diverse
tipologie di carbonio, ottenute dall’analisi computerizzata
del comportamento del telaio durante il suo utilizzo in Off
Road: 80% di trama di fibra di carbonio ad alta resistenza
T-700SC, 15% di tessuto di carbonio “High Modulus” M30J
3K, 5% di fibra di carbonio “High Strenght” 60T ed una
finitura superficiale UD. Stone 29”, tecnologia carrera

The R&D innovations for the STONE 29’er are the result of
the engineering know-how collected by Carrera-PODIUM’s
expertise with carbon road racing frames applied towards
its MTB sector. The STONE 29’ers fabrication uses ‘Solid
Carbon’ technology, a new generation manufacturing
process with noticeable improvements in terms of tubeset
weight and compliance. This technology eliminates
potential critical points in the monocoque assembly
by adding high structural rigidity to its fabrication
technique to optimally counter and dampen vibrations
of its asymmetric designed frame during off-road
riding. This unique carbon layup has been achieved
via computerized analysis of the frame’s performance
characteristics: 80% T-700SC highly resistant carbon
fiber weave, 15% ‘High Modulus’ M30J 3K carbon fiber, 5%
‘High Strength’ 60T carbon fiber - and UD surface finish.
Carrera’s STONE 29’ers technology is dedicated to

Rock 27.5” è la nostra interpretazione del nuovo standard
nel mondo del MTB. Un prodotto molto compatto, con una
geometria sloping che lo rende leggero e reattivo, perfetto per
le competizioni, così come per le escursioni a lungo raggio.
Realizzato anch’esso con tecnologia monoscocca, presenta
una rigidità complessiva molto elevata, che si traduce
in una precisione di guida ed un handling nei passaggi
guidati molto buona. La produzione avviene in stampo
utilizzando tre diverse tipologie di carbonio, Pre-PregT700SC SHM40 Tons - HR40, per un peso complessivo di
poco superiore ai 1000 gr in taglia media. ROCK 27.5”,
veloce, leggera, reattiva, pronta per le competizioni.
The ROCK 27.5 represents Carrera-PODIUM’s interpretation

The ROCK 27.5 monocoque frame is manufactured using ’Solid
Carbon’ technology which delivers a lightweight, responsive,
and compliant frame. These design elements transform
this structurally rigid, balanced-to-perform monocoque XC
hardtail frame that is: fast, lightweight, responsive, and
poised for rigors of XC competition. The frame is fabricated
using three different types of carbon: Pre-PregT-700SC,
