We love - the fantastic position of the hotel!
The hotel boasts an enviable position directly on the flat, seafront promenade
in the heart of Armacao de Pera, with incredible sea views from all public
areas including the delightful spacious restaurant, relaxing bar, and our
wonderful bridge room! There is no road or path between the hotel and the
beach - you are so close you can hear the waves and feel the spray of the sea.
Armacao de Pera is also a typical Portuguese town that is open all year round
so you can easily walk out the hotel and find a good choice of very reasonably
priced tapas bars and cafes to choose from. The shops are also very individual
with lots of craft shops - not row upon row of souvenir shops filled with the
same old tat! The endless yellow sandy beach stretches for as far as the eye
can see, and in the centre of the town the brightly painted fishing boats are
pulled up the beach with their daily catch.
The hotel has only 185 rooms, and has a warm and friendly atmosphere. In the
lounge you will find card tables; and plenty of board games, and English books
to share amongst the guests and you can enjoy free WIFI throughout. Set
apart by its hills from the rest of Portugal the climate here is dry and sunny all
year round. Perfect for walking; swimming in the outdoor heated pool and of
course playing golf!
