WHAT ARE LEDS?
LED stands for Light Emitting Diode, which is a semiconductor
device that emits visible light when an electric current passes
through it.
Light is not generated by heating an incandescent coil (incandescent and halogen bulbs) or by gas discharges (fluorescent lamps),
but it is an electronic effect in the semiconductor.
A LED provides the light in a very narrow spectrum, that is only a
small part of the total light radiation available. This is why each
LED has its own specific colour.
A different process deals with the creation of white LEDs. There
are two methods of manufacture, either using several LED chips in
different colours (red, green and blue) combined in a single case
so that the different colours are mixed up and give white light, or
using blue LEDs which have an internal luminescent layer whose
task is to convert blue light into different colours. Thus all spectrals
are produced and this is the basis for white light.

The mini spot LED is a versatile unit. It can be used separately or
together with a light fitting. It has a 25mm cut out. It has a high
power 1 Watt LED.
This LED has a silver reflector that is available with no lens which produces a 110° angle of light or with a lens that produces a 45° angle
of light.

The Neon Flex is a versatile and user-friendly lighting device. It can be cut, bent and formed in the field and is easily installed on the flat surface of varied materials, such as wood, plastic, steel, or concrete wall, etc to form all kinds of patterns according to your design. Below are
the accessories which are required for the neon flex. To fix the Neon Flex to wall and ceiling etc, we recommend using 16mm trunking.

LED Decolume strip light is a decorative lighting source for indoor use. The lighting consists of a piece of PCB board with LED
chips emitting various beautiful colours such as red, green, blue, lime, white and yellow. For decoration, it uses the traditional festoon bulb shape and design along with a 100,000 hour life without the high heat temperature you get with incandescent or xenon bulbs. The LED Decolume can be run at an amazing 11 metres from one 50W transformer with the 63mm
spacings compared with less than 1 metre using incandescent or xenon bulbs.

The Decolume strips come in three different sizes. There are 300mm,
150mm and 63mm centre spacing, from the centre of the lamp
holder to the centre of the next lamp holder. The Decolume strip
comes in a 10 metre pack. We sell the decolume strips per metre.
The decolume can be cut to any length you require.

COMPASSO LED KIT
The Compasso fitting takes three MR8 lamps that are adjustable (available in a double also). A 1 or 3 Watt high power component LED can
be fitted and be switched on a separate circuit. This will give you two circuits. One with halogen light and one with a LED light. This will create different scenes in your room from bright light for working and reading to a moody light source for watching TV or just relaxing.
There are other options, for example you could put three different coloured LEDs into the Compasso and then by dimming them individulaly
you would be able to create a colour changing light source. The options are endless.
COMPASSO LED KIT
The compasso its available in White or Nickel in a double or triple.
Made from cast aluminium with a convenient centre pull down
plate for easy lamp replacement, also allowing a 20° tilt on each
light and 360° rotation.

either blue or white LEDs and a silver frame. You have the option
on this fitting to change the frame to a different colour to match

the same frosted glass to give you diffused light. This fitting will
only fit into plaster walls as there is no back box for a brick or
concrete wall.

The ground buried, walk-over and drive-over LED uplighter is IP67. It
has 9 high efficiency LEDs that equals a total power output of

The LED101 is an IP68 uplighter. An economical mini LED light which
is visually bright. To be used in floors or walls. Vehicles can travel over
the fitting at low speed. The fitting will bear a static load up to
1000kg, if uniformly stationed. It has an aluminium bezel and opal
glass. It is available in 5 colours. This fitting is used where you require
a bright signal light for decking, pathways and driveways.

The AL2110 and AL2112 are both IP65 uplighters. They can be used
internally or externally. The AL2110 is very discreet, which means that
it can be used in many places. For example it could be fitted into a
tile in your bathroom for a very discreet light. The AL2112 is the larger light fitting. It can be used for decking, pathways and driveways.
They both can be used as decorative lights internally as shown in the
location pictures.

The AL4009 and AL2007 are both IP67 square uplighters. They can be
used internally or externally. The can be driven over, which makes
them ideal for pathways and driveways. Available in two sizes with or
without intergal transformer. Without the integral transformers this fitting can be fitted near waterwater features and swimming pools.
Availble in either Amber, Blue or White.
The AL2007RGB is an automatic colour changing LED light. It slowly
changes between red, green and blue.

GENERAL INFORMATION

All drivers that have the ‘S’ symbol next to them must be wired in
series as shown in the diagram above. If the LEDs are not wired
correctly it will result in irreparable damage to the LEDs and LED
Drivers.
WIRING INFORMATION
The reason that these LEDs must be wired in series is simple. When
you wire in series you achieve a constant current for all components in that circuit. All the LEDs marked with the ‘S’ symbol
require a constant current to function correctly. When the LEDs
are wired in series they only require a small voltage, normally
between 2-4 volts. No series LED has the same voltage it, they
vary from LED to LED.
PARALLEL WIRING DIAGRAM

All drivers that have the ‘P’ symbol next to them must be wired in
parallel as shown in the diagram above. If these LEDs are not
wired correctly it will result in irreparable damage to the LEDs and
LEDs Drivers.
INFORMATION
LED lights can be fitted approximately 20 meters away from the driver. This can be a huge benefit, for example when installing a wall light
along a staircase you would only have to fit one driver running a series of LEDs. With low voltage you have a maximum distance of only 2
metres from the light to the transformer.
