Chicago Marathon
Concept: The objective of this project was to create an ad for
the Chicago Marathon. This Ad was submitted to the
American Advertising Federation’s Addy awards and
placed gold along with a silver on the regional level.
I created this add by first taking a photograph then
used photo shop to add elements along with body
text to create a powerful and motivating advertisement

Man Enters The Cosmos
Concept:The
concept of this project was to create a promotional
poster for a sculpture in the Chicago land area. When
designing this poster I wanted to emphasize the
sculpture by making it stand out from its surrounding
area but at the same time keeping the environment to
show its location in the city. By doing so I was able
to create an epic and powerful view of the sculpture.

Posters
Concept: The
concept behind these poster designs were to
create a vintage and retro theme. For a music poster
of Jimi Hendrix I wanted to capture a 1970’s style to
contrast with the artist genera and style. I also designed
the Popcorn Festival poster in a vintage 1950’s theme
to capture the essence or the art deco movement.

Hydroelectricity
Concept: The concept for this project was to create a logo for
the word hydroelectricity. I sought out to create a
simple and clean design with a minimalistic feel. Since
hydroelectricity is utilizing water to create electricity
I felt that by combining an electrical plug that is shaped
into a water drop truly represents what hydroelectricity
is and how it is used to create energy with water.

Magazine
Concept: When
creating a magazine layout I strive to keep its
contents organized and easy to read. When designing the
cover for Groove Magazine I wanted to create an earthy
and natural look with modern elements by keeping organic
colors mixed with modern pattern. When designing Art
works in Mental health I chose to create a more technical
look showing the advancements in medical technology.

Menu Design
Concept: The
concept behind this project was to create a
restaurant menu with a set theme. I chose to set

Page layout
Concept: The
concept for this project was to create a page
layout from a preexisting magazine. By hand ripping
the page contents I achieved texture to the new layout
as well as creating new compositions. I also utilized the
space on the girls surfboard as a place for body text.

Book Cover
Concept: There are two different concepts for these two book
cover layouts. For The Interpretation of Dreams
I chose to design it with lots of color and typography to draw attention to the book with its
bold design. For the Ikea book I took a more
simplistic method using clean lines, simple text, and
basic shapes to convey a sleek and clean design.

a dark color scheme for. The final is “Violence” which
I chose a red color scheme and added a crack and
splattered background to convey the mood of violence.

based off of letters. I wanted to create these illustrations
to look like hand written letters and drawing. By adding a
brush stroke to my lines I was able to achieve the look and
feel of hand drawn characters. These illustrations then
can be used on a variety of products such as buttons.

Concept: When
creating these t-shirt designs I wanted to
create a pattern and design that is repetitive. Each
design has different patterns varying in sizes to create
an overall sense of completion. These patterns can then
be used for graphic t-shirts and other clothing items.

Cosmetic Packaging
Concept: The
concept behind this project was to crate
a packaging design for makeup. I wanted to
create a 1950’s vintage theme mixed with a modern spin. By using design elements that were popular during the Art Deco movement I was able to
capture the 1950’s feel by adding a modern twist by
choosing a purple color scheme for the products.
