April 8, . 1981
Three State permits to drill oil and gas wells have been issued to
Northwest Exploration Company, Post Office Box 5800 T.A., Denver,
Colorado 80217, by the Division of Mineral Resources for the following
wells:
Permit number 316, API 27-023-05305 fot· the Railroad
Valley #8. The well will be located inC SW ~ , Section
17, T.7N., R.57E., MDBM, Nye County. The well will be
1,320 feet from the South line and 1,320 feet from the
West line. The elevation is 4,726 feet and the proposed
depth is 6,150 feet.
Permit number 317, API 27-023-05306 for the Railroad
Valley #9. The well will be located in C SW~, Section
36, T.7N., R.56E., MDBM, Nye County. The well will be
1,320 feet from the South line and 1,320 feet from the
West line. The elevation is 4,707 feet and the proposed
depth is 4,900 feet.
Permit number 318, API 27-023-05307 for the Railroad
Valley #10. The well will be located in C SW ~ , Section
21, T.6N., R.56E., MDBM, · Nye County. The well will be
1,320 feet from the South line and 1,320 feet from the
West line. The elevation is 4,737 feet and the proposed
depth is 4,990.

94120, by the Division of Mineral Resoufces for the following wells:

#1. The well will be located in theSE ~ , Section 22,
T.l8S., R.65E., MDBM, Cl a rk County. The well will be
1,820 feet West and 380 fe e t North of theSE corner of
projected Section 22, T.l8S., R.65E. The elevation is
2,800 OF and the proposed depth is 9,000.

dried, and sent pre-paid to the Nevada Bureau of Mines and Geology,

Please note that the correct location of the above-mentioned well is that
given on the State of Nevada and U.S.G.S. Application for Permit to Drill
(APD) issued April 24, 1981 and December 29, 1980, respectively, and not
the location indicated on the survey plat. The correct location is --11,524.26 feet south and 10,009.28 feet east from the southwest corner of
Section 34, Township 17 South, Range 65 East, M.D.B.&M.

of October 20, 1982. The revised survey plat correctly indicates the location of
the Buffington Pockets Ill well as permitted by the State of Nevada (Permit 11320)
and the U.S.G.S.
The Buffington Pockets Ill well is one of two exploratory wells permitted in the
44,696.12 acre Buffington Pockets Unit. The other is the Colorock Quarry well
which is currently being dr illed in Section 22, Township 18 South, Range 65 East
MDB&M.
