PHASED BIOGRAFIE
Als einst eine Stoner-Band, stehen Phased heutzutage für
psychedelischen Doom, bleiern, schwer und doch groovig
– Motor Doom nannte es ihr ehemaliges Label treffend.
Sechs Jahre nach ihrem letzten Studioalbum veröffentlichen
wir nun das neue und vierte Werk des Schweizer Trios. Die sieben
Monolithe aus tiefgestimmten Gitarren, schleppenden Rhythmen
und unterschwellig bedrohlichem Gesang wurden 2014 von Chris
Sigdell, Marko Lehtinen und Michael Greilinger (Gastmusiker am
Bass) bei Helium Records in Basel aufgenommen, von Richard
Whittaker in London abgemischt und von Greg Chandler in
Birmingham gemastert.
Nach diversen Vorgängerformationen entstanden Phased in ihrer
heutigen Form im Jahr 2001. Seit dann bestritt die Dreiercombo
europaweit unzählige Auftritte an bedeutenden Festivals wie dem
Stoned From The Underground, Up In Smoke oder dem Doom
Shall Rise, dazu kamen zahlreiche Einzelshows zusammen mit
Grössen wie High On Fire, Orange Goblin, Mastodon oder Spirit
Caravan.
Da wir den Werdegang von Phased bereits seit Jahren enthusiastisch
verfolgen freut es uns umso mehr das neue, in unseren Augen
das bisher beste und gleichzeitig das heavieste Album auf dem
internationalen Markt als CD, LP und digitalem Download zu
veröffentlichen
