FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
EFM has a new general engineering manager
There has been a personnel change at EFM – Gesellschaft für Enteisen und Flugzeugschleppen am Flughafen München mbH. Joseph Simmnacher is the new general manager GSE and
infrastructure. Since February 1, 2012 the 58 year old master craftman motor cars has been in
charge of the entire EFM fleet consisting among other vehicles of 23 towing tractors and 24 deicing vehicles. He is especially responsible for the planning and procurement of any technical
equipment and infrastructure.
Simmnacher has worked for nearly 30 years in the field of vehicle and ground handling equipment maintenance within the Lufthansa group. As maintenance manager at Lufthansa LEOS he
was previously responsible for many years for the maintenance of special and ground handling
equipment in Frankfurt, Duesseldorf and Munich. Now he continues his career within the Lufthansa group at EFM, a 51 percent subsidiary of Lufthansa.
Simmnachers predecessor Gerhard Schuh left EFM in August 2009. Since then the position of
the general engineering manager has been vacant. EFM’s managing director Hans-Joachim
Püschner temporarily held the job.
„We are pleased that we could hire Joseph Simmnacher as our new general engineering manager who is a proven expert“, says Hans-Joachim Püschner, EFM’s managing director. „During
his many years on the job at Lufthansa LEOS there were many points of contact with our company – this surely helps Mr Simmnacher to settle into the new job very quickly“, Püschner continues.
