Shooting Games Show 2008-12-11
The Shooting Games Show 2008 was just held
in Paris as it has been for each of the past three
years. One of the novelties of this year’s show
was the famous fashion parade of the “Dangerous Girls” sponsored by Cybergun. The pretty
female candidates (accompanied by three male
candidates!) put on their show dressed up by the designers and wearing the
latest Cybergun accessories that you will find on the pages of this SAM. The
top winner received, in addition to a trip to a sunny resort, a magnificent watch
from one of the major fashion houses and
a photo session for his book by the celebrated photographer Thierry Vasseur (the
photographer of SAS, Infra Rouge, Homme
de Luxe…) A guaranteed success for this
charming moment, just as for the entertainment provided by Soft Air, Paintball and
other blowguns.
The Cybergun team was, of course, present
in the traditional grand stand to present the
very wide range of Soft Air products.

he Sig P226 X5 is a model developed by the German-Swiss company
for the most demanding IPSC shooters. Made of steel, it weighs a little
more than one kilogram. It is larger and heavier than a P226.
The Soft Air version of the P226 X5 will be THE big new product of the
beginning of 2009 (first half-year in ‘tactical’ version and then in a ‘Sport’

The Taurus PT 99 is a later variant of the PT 92. Resulting from the
collaboration between the Italian concern Beretta and the Brazilian
company Taurus, it is produced under Beretta license.
Up to now, the PT 99 existed with a high capacity magazine of 38 pellets, but this detracted from the realism of the replica. This time Cybergun offers it with a short magazine which is true to the original. This
Full Metal CO2 and Blow Back replica has the latest type Adjustable BAX
trajectory adjustment system.
There are two versions of the PT 99: one is semi-automatic and the
other is Full Auto, emptying the magazine in a flash.
The long magazine with 38 pellets is still available as an option.

For the original version, Smith & Wesson sought to
reduce the weight of the weapon by using Scandium.
In its concern for quality, Cybergun gives us a replica with
all-metal body that weighs more than the original. The S&W
1911 PD is a Blow Back replica that uses CO2 to propel the
pellet. The power released is on the order of 1 joule. The gas
cartridge fits into the magazine, which is big enough to hold
28 pellets as well.
The Tactical Grip of the replica is fabulous, very comfortable in
the hand. The use of CO2 makes it easy to operate in all weather
conditions and contributes unprecedented realism. The recoil of
the breech is particularly impressive!
You will note the presence of a Picatinny rail under the barrel,
allowing you to customize your replica. You will be able to add a
tactical light or the latest rail (see page 12) in order to replace the
aiming device on the 1911 PD by a Red Dot or precision optical
sights.
A word about the markings: they are of very high quality! Laser
engraving provides extreme refinement.

The 1911 is the handgun of reference. All the major designers have tried to come close. Smith &
Wesson provides us with the 1911 PD (Personal
Defense) version that is very well turned out and
Cybergun has made a magnificent replica of it.

breech are made entirely of
metal. As regards disassembly,
it is identical to the original.

he Galil is an assault rifle of Israeli design
based on the famous AK 47. It was not
metal gearbox
used much because of its weight. The SAR model is reserved for parachute units,
because its barrel is shorter than the standard model.
Here again metal is featured (the frame, the butt, the magazine and the Gearbox). The
Galil has the latest generation adjustable BAX trajectory correction system.
The barrel is equipped to accept a

he M14 first appeared in 1957, replacing the Garand. This was the first assault rifle of the
American Army. It can also be used as a precision rifle (sniper). In five years, 3,300,000 units
were put at the disposal of the US Army.
Concerning the replica, the strategic parts, the Gearbox and the chassis, are in metal. The M14
has a 440-pellet capacity magazine and a metal Picatinny rail, making it possible to add a precision optical sight. The adjustable Hop Up
system adjusts the trajectory of the pellets.

towards middle to remove the vent cap from the frame.

ince our eyes are especially precious organs, the Compact Softair Mask
is an indispensable accessory which serves just as well for a match of
Soft Air as it does for target shooting exercises. Indeed, pellets can cause
serious lesions on contact with the eyes. The glass of the mask is made
of polycarbonate and satisfies the CE EN166 standard. Provided with an
adjustable elastic band, it turns out to be very comfortable and can be worn
over your prescription eyeglasses. It has 3 adjustable vents allowing free
circulation of air. You can even close them completely, if you wish.
CAUTION
- Do not deliberately shoot directly at goggles.
- Handle and store with care.
- Clean goggles with lens tissue or soft cloth only.
- Wear only when shooting with Softair products. These are NOT sunglasses. NOT designed as safety goggles for other activities.
