A lounge glowing in amber tones recalls the thirties with leather
and velvet seating. More a place for snacks and drinking than
dancing, Reingold offers 160 cocktails, 80 whiskeys, and Japanese
food. Though it often has a DJ, no one dances here. Vogue
magazine wrote that it’s a beautiful classic cocktail bar, and it’s a
good place to look beautiful in. Daily from 19:00 until late.

Knaack Klub

KONRAD TÖNZ Bar
Berlin is here! One of the most established
locations for clubbing culture can be found at
Greifswalder Strasse 224 in Prenzlauer Berg. Just
3 minutes from Alexanderplatz you’ll find four floors
of everything that makes the hearts of visitors to
Berlin beat faster. From live concerts to Alternative,
Indie and R&B Clubsound to 80s and karaoke
parties, Knaack Klub has its finger on the pulse of the city!
Knaack Klub Berlin – Welcome to life
The Steinhaus Berlin underwent a complete
refurbishment in 1994. The club is now
equipped with the finest in technology without
losing its traditional flair. It’s split up into
four parts with two dance floors and bars,
a comfortable lounge and an outdoor area
covered with a big tent. The location can
re-invent itself by changing the decor and
projection, depending on what type of event
is being staged. A varied music programme, live acts and specials are also
part of the programme. See website for events.
Welcome to a cosy and comfortable lounge bar that recalls the
atmosphere of the 60s and 70s! Wallpapered in retro style, furnished
with fur lamps and sofas, decorated with plush poodles and
nostalgic lp-covers this explosion of bad taste is inviting and comfy
like a living room cocoon. Glowing orange-red lights and a mirror ball
keep the atmo in motion. On two 6 watt mono turntables(!) the best
music ever of former times can be heard: DJs are playing 60s & 70s
Soul, Funk, Beat, Jazz, Trash, Ska, Pop, Latin and Twist - the whole lot of wonderful
and crazy stuff. Cocktails, long drinks and beers are offered in this unique “living
room” style from tuesday to sunday, 20:15 hrs. p.m. until open end.

Matrix
The story of nbi club starts with the birth of electronic
dance music in the early nineties, when the club was both
meeting point and stage for musicians and producers of
the Berlin ‘szene’. NBI developed from a legendary Berlin
club with an avant-garde background to a popular dance
and concert venue. Nowadays people dance, rock and
play table-tennis on two and a half floors. The audience
is varied and events cover electro-rock, hiphop, house
and singer-songwriter music. Admission: 0 to 5 euros.
Opened from 20:00 until late.
Somewhere between lounge with matresses
and grandma’s living room, the nice, relaxed
atmosphere invites you to sit back and
enjoy. Self-service makes sure that your
strong drinks are at hand quickly, and
daily changing DJs throw animated tunes
at your ears. Open late, wild parties! Daily
from 20:00.
The Matrix is a magnet for music styles and
open-minded party people, who are tolerant and
crazy at the same time. We celebrate, dance,
flirt and take distance to everyday life on up to
four dancefloors. The passionate clubber meets
the night owl and students dance with stars and
wannabes. You’ll find the taste of a night that has
been danced through - Berlin shows itself to be
a metropolis. Open Mon-Sat from 22:00.

Fire Club & Fire Bar
Hol dir deine Musik zum Berliner Nachtleben!
Bar 11 is located in the heart of Kreuzberg, well known for
long opening-hours (from 6 p.m. ‘til 7 a.m.), legendary for
amazing party-nights, beloved for cheap prizes and has a
fantastic mix of local and international guests. Monday night
is cocktail night, all cocktails ½ prize. There are exhibitions,
DJs on the week-end (Rock, Pop, Funk, Soul, Reggae), a nice
terrace in summer and entertaining bartenders. A stop at Bar
11 is mandatory for every Berlin visitor.
Although the Fire Bar and the Fire Club are no
longer illegal, you can still feel the spirit of the
Berlin underground. You can still enjoy the cheap
drinks and the fire is always burnin’ (well, on
DVD). Each evening friends, students, artists
and backpackers congregate. From 20:00 on in
a little underground cellar-bar not even 50 meters
off the touristy Oranienburger Strasse and from
23:00 on in the Fire Club, its big brother (ten minutes walking distance).

This place is right underneath the Schlesisches Tor train
station but don’t worry - you will not hear or feel the steel
wheels roar over head....as you will be engulfed in the
sounds sounding around you. So really anything goes
and could happen...from punk rock to electro and from
jazz noises to exploding frog death metal music. The main
hall is an integral part of main indie band’s tours from all around the world. Look
out for posters on the walls or just go and see what may happen to you... and
try not to get run over!

Welcome!
Many clubs come and go... and the trend these days is to go
back to the smaller ones. Clubs concentrate in Berlin Mitte,
Friedrichshain and Kreuzberg and good old rock music also
has it’s place in town.
The club’s concepts tend more and more to a blend of lounge
feeling and art, and you’ll also find venues combining dance
with dinner. And as always, the treasured spots for new clubs
are set on the Spree river bank.
Find your way with
Old names like Turbine and Tresor are back and the backyard
club culture settles everywhere and it’s always a good option
to look up myspace.com as many locations don’t issue any
flyers.
Don’t be surprised. The new style is to combine electro with
guitar music - called nu rave - and to dress up like an aerobics
victim...
Enjoy your stay. Party on.

dancefloor. The lounge offers guests a cosy
ambience with its stylish bar. On the dancefloor
you can hear and feel the unique studio sound
system - it’s not for nothing that Raumklang
was voted best bar of 2007. Depending on
the day of the week, guests can expect to hear
music from the 1980s to electro. Raumklang
is the club for kings, queens, freaks and peeps.
The name Marooush stands for an extraordinary Egyptian
gastronomy concept with a restaurant, club and shisha
lounge. This is where the upmarket oriental scene of Berlin
meets under the sign of the feline goddess Basted. The
Marooush Club is known for its 1001 Nights atmosphere and
the Thursday after-work parties. An international crowd meets here to the beats
of international club music. The restaurant with its excellent cuisine is also very
popular, as are the belly dancing and/or live music sessions at the weekend.
Your local KINGKONGKLUB - the mecca of monkeybusiness
in the dark heart of Mitte. With it’s leopardskin-mosaic bar,
skyscraper frescos, kitch videos, intimate atmosphere &
cheap drinks, it’s the place to go if you’re looking for an
exotic hangout. You can checkout Berlins nightlife in the
comfort of it’s sofa-landscape. Daily changing DJs mash
the place up! Independent, Postpunk, Electrorock, Wave,
Powerpop. The entrance is free! Except live gigs, which are cheap - but tasty!
Expect the unexpected. DAILY from 9pm - late.
Just drop by on Tuesday and check out the “Brit Pop &
Beyond” parties. Various DJs offer you the best in indie,
retro and alternative music. There’s free entrance on
Wednesdays for those with a little less money in their
pockets when we “Dance all Night”. And then there’s
“Sophie’s Classics” with hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s
and 90s on Thursdays. So as you can see it’s worth
dropping by. On the weekends we’ve got great local DJs getting you to dance at
Sophie’s dance mix and Sophie’s party night. Tue-Sat from 22:00.

Turbine was Berlin’s first venue to celebrate the
first acid house parties. Here’s the cradle of
techno culture. It all began in 1989. Legendary
Djs such as Dr. Motte, Paul van Dyk, Jonzon,
or Kid Paul started to hit the up escalator
here... and they’re still spinning records around
the world.
The Club has been refurbished and now shines
in new splendor.
Come and take pot luck! See you soon... Be part of Techno history.

Tanzwirtschaft Kaffee Burger
There’s been a restaurant here at Torstraße 60
since 1890. In the 1970s the ‘Burger’ developed
into a Szene bar, and from 1976 it was a meeting
point for political dissidents and wannabe
defectors. In 1999, three new owners took over,
and after a quick revamp the Tanzwirtschaft
Kaffee Burger opened on 10 November 1999
under the motto “Prenzlauer Berg now in Mitte”.
It’s been uphill all the way since then. The rest is history. Later an extra space
was added. Daily lectures or live music. DJs from 23.00.
