Als neu gewählter Bundesvorsitzender des Deutschen Schädlingsbekämpfer-Verbandes e. V. ist es mir eine Ehre, heute das
Grußwort an Sie richten zu dürfen. Ich habe als Mitglied des
Bundesvorstandes des DSV schon im Jahr 1994 an der Ausrichtung der ersten Eurocido® beteiligt sein können und kann die
Veränderung dieser hochklassigen Veranstaltung sehr gut beurteilen. Es ging ständig „Berg auf“! Heute haben wir es hier
mit der Leitmesse der Branche Schädlingsbekämpfung in ganz
Europa zu tun. Viel hat sich in unserer Branche bewegt und
entwickelt. Nicht alles war erfreulich, Holzschutzmittel Problematik, Pyrethroid Diskussion, Verbände Trennungen, etc., um hier nur einige Beispiele zu nennen. Wir können aber auch auf
sehr positive Entwicklungen verweisen: Einführung der Erstausbildung, Einführung der TRNS,
Umsetzung der Biozidrichtlinie, Aufwertung der Bedeutung der Branche in der BGW, Einführung der DIN 10523, etc., dies hat uns Allen Mut gemacht, unseren Verbandsweg kontinuierlich
weiter zu verfolgen. Viele Änderungen in der personellen Besetzung des DSV sind seit der Zeit
geschehen aber die Eurocido® hat sich ständig nach vorn entwickelt. Dieses, von Jürgen Friedel
ins Leben gerufene Schaufenster der Branche hat noch einmal einen zusätzlichen Schwung
durch Klaus-Dieter Vetter erhalten. Heute blicken wir auf eine europäische Veranstaltung, die
einen massiven Einfluss auf die Entwicklung der Gesundheits-Dienstleistung Schädlingsbekämpfung in Deutschland hat. Ich wünsche dieser Mega-Veranstaltung einen guten Verlauf und allen
Beteiligten den Erfolg, den Sie sich alle davon versprechen!

Dear guests, exhibitors and visitors of the 10th Eurocido®
As new elected president of the german pest control association (DSV) it’s an honor for me to
welcome you today. I have been part of the organisation team of the first Eurocido® in 1994
and can see the changes of this top class event. It went straight ahead. Today this is the leading
exhibition for the whole pest control industry all over Europe. Many things have moved and
changed in this industry. Not everything was amusing, esp. the problems about wood protection, the discussions about syntethic Pyrethroids, separation of associations, etc., to aim only
a few examples. But we can point out several positive developments: Introduction of the German law for „pest control exhibition with examination“, introduction of TRNS (DSV standards
for pest control), introduction of the official standard for „pest control in the food industry“
DIN 10523, etc., this forced us to go our way continual. Much personal changes within the
DSV happened since then, but Eurocido® developed well. This shop window of the industry,
built by Jürgen Friedel, got a new kick from Klaus-Dieter Vetter. Today we see a European event
with massive influence on the development of „health service pest control“ in Germany. I whish
a good succes for this great event and all participants to get the efford that they whish for
themselves.

wurde im Kreise des DSV-Vorstandes, des DSV-Bundesrates und
mir, in meiner Funktion als damaliger DSV-Bundesvorsitzender,
angestrebt, eine europäische Branchen-Plattform mit dem Ziel
einer zweijährig wiederkehrenden Fachmesse mit angeschlossenen Podiumsdiskussionen/Vorträgen zu installieren.
Das Resultat: Die „Eurocido®“
1994
erfolgte der Startschuss für die 1. Eurocido® am Standort Dortmund
2012
freue ich mich, als Visionär und Initiator der Eurocido, mein
Grußwort zur nun 10. stattfinden Fachmesse, die sich zwischenzeitlich zu einer festen Institution über die deutschen Grenzen hinaus mit einer stetig
wachsenden Beliebtheit entwickelt hat, übermitteln zu dürfen.
Danken möchte ich an dieser Stelle all denjenigen, die sich in den zurückliegenden Jahren
immer wieder für den Fortbestand und ein erfolgreiches Gelingen der Eurocido® eingesetzt
haben. Ich bin mir sicher, dass Sie als Besucher oder Aussteller der 10. Eurocido® wiederum
viele positive Eindrücke und Gespräche werden sammeln können.

it was aspired by the circle of the DSV-directorate, the DSV-federal council and me, in my
function as former DSV-federal chairman, to establish an European® industry platform with the
aim of a biennial recurring trade fair with associated panel discussions / lectures.
The result: The „Eurocido®“

the starting shot for the 1st Eurocido® in Dortmund was given

I am pleased, as visionary and initiator of the Eurocido®, to forward my greeting to the
10th trade fair now taking place, which in the meanwhile has developed to a firm institution
beyond the German borders with a steadily growing popularity.
At this place I want to thank all those who consistently sticked up for the continuity and the
prosperous success of the Eurocido® in the previous years. I am sure that you as visitor or exhibitor of the 10th Eurocido® will be able to collect many positive impressions and discussions
