Dinner is served at Stordalen Fjellstove, before we return on bike down the valley to Matre. This is a fantastic round trip from Bergen, where you will see skerries, islands and fjords from the road and from ferries. Rent a car or use your own. Explore the fascinating islands of Austevoll, Fitjar, Stord and Bømlo. On the road to Bømlo, there are two suspension bridges that provide wonderful views of fjords and mountains. The island of Bømlo has an important place in Norwegian history. The trip continues to Etne and the Åkrafjord - with steep mountains and the majestic Langfoss waterfall. From the Åkrafjord, you pass the famous Låtefoss twin waterfalls. Folgefonna is Norway´s third largest glacier, and it is a short walk from Sundal to the Bondhusbreen glacier (1.2 km). Furebergfossen waterfall in Kvinnherad is also a wonderful sight. The village of Rosendal is situated by the Hardangerfjord - called the ´Queen of the Norwegian fjords´. Rosendal is surrounded by beautiful mountains, and there are great opportunities for hiking, cycling and other activities.
