Powder coating has been proving its strength for decades in the surface finishing of metals such as aluminum and steel and
today it is acknowledged as a robust, cost efficient and environmental friendly technology. The industrial powder coating of
wood based components is a well proven coating technology, after long years of practical experience.
This modern coating technology for industrially produced engineered wood, especially MDF-medium density fiberboard, is
fully commercial today. TIGER has been the major contributor.
The TIGER concept is based on TIGER Drylac® Wood Dual powder coating system. This concept, combined with the knowledge
gained in the fields of powder application, curing techniques, oven design, MDF quality requirements, test equipment and
quality assurance, has provided a full know-how package essential to industrial production.
After considering all these parameters, the technology of powder coating MDF has become a technically and economically
attractive alternative to wet lacquering and PVC foil lamination. It shows enormous potential with regard to economic
efficiency, surface toughness plus the availability of a wide spectrum of colors, designs and effects, while being environmentally
friendly with zero VOC emissions.
The high quality of the TIGER Drylac® Wood Dual powder coating system makes it suitable for use across the whole spectrum
of applications in the furniture sector, ranging from kitchens, bathrooms, offices, children’s rooms to ready-to-assemble
furniture, along with shop fittings and displays and the audio & video sector.

TIGER Drylac® Wood allows to meet the stringent EU VOC Directive. This powder
coating system is also solvent-free and the overspray can be recycled in the application
process, thus allowing efficiency levels of up to 98% with no coating residues to dispose
of. TIGER powder coatings do not contain heavy metals or halogenated polymers. The
actual CO2 footprint is the lowest in the furniture industry.

Die Pulverbeschichtung hat sich seit Jahrzehnten in der Oberflächenveredelung von Metallwerkstoffen wie Aluminium
und Stahl bestens bewährt und wird heute als robuste, kosteneffiziente und umweltfreundliche Technologie geschätzt.
Heute ist auch die industrielle Pulverbeschichtung von Holzwerkstoffen bereits eine bewährte Beschichtungstechnologie
mit jahrelangen Praxiserfahrungen.
Diese moderne Beschichtungstechnologie für industriell hergestellte Holzwerkstoffe, insbesondere MDF – Medium
Density Fibreboard – wird heute weltweit in der kommerziellen Möbelproduktion genutzt. TIGER hat dazu einen
entscheidenden Beitrag geliefert.
Das TIGER Konzept basiert auf dem TIGER Drylac® Wood Dual Pulverlacksystem. Dieses Konzept kombiniert das KnowHow der Pulverapplikation, Aushärtungstechnik und des Ofendesigns, der MDF Qualitätsanforderungen sowie der Prüfund Messtechnik und führt zu einem vollständigen Gesamtpaket, wie es für die Prozesssicherheit einer industriellen
Fertigung unerlässlich ist.
Bei Beachtung all dieser Parameter ist die Pulverbeschichtungstechnologie jetzt auch für MDF eine technisch und
wirtschaftlich attraktive Alternative zur Lackierung mit Flüssiglacken und zum PVC-Folien-Laminatprozess geworden.
Es besteht ein immenses Potential bezüglich Wirtschaftlichkeit, robuster Oberflächeneigenschaften, Design-, Farb- und
Effektmöglichkeiten sowie der Umweltfreundlichkeit mit praktisch keinen VOC Emissionen.

Das TIGER Drylac® Wood Dual System ermöglicht, die strenge EU VOC Richtlinie
zu erfüllen. Dieses Pulverbeschichtungssystem ist zudem frei von Lösemitteln.
Außerdem kann in der Verarbeitung der Overspray zurückgeführt werden, so dass sich
Wirkungsgrade von bis zu 98 % erzielen lassen und keine Lackabfälle entsorgt werden
müssen. Alle Pulverlacke von TIGER sind frei von Schwermetallen und halogenierten
Polymeren. Die CO2 Bilanz ist die niedrigste in der Möbelindustrie.
