Prior to any type rating, an approved theoretical course is required for High Performance Aeroplanes (see
below). The only exemption is a successfully passed ATPL theoretical exam.
During our HPA course, candidates obtain the necessary knowledge in 52 study hours, supported by our elearning and information platform. The course is completed with an examination at Horizon’s premises and a
course certificate.
Part of the subjects 21-Airframes & Systems, Electrics, Powerplant, 32-Performance ME Aeroplanes, 40Human Performance and Limitations, 50-Meteorology, 62-Radio Navigation (Basic Radar Principles), 81Principles of Flight, are instructed during the course, according to AMC1 FCL.720.A(b)(2)(i)
Für den Ersteintrag eines HPA ist vor der eigentlichen Typenschulung unter anderem der erfolgreiche
Besuch eines vom BAZL bewilligten HPA-Kurses notwendig.
In unserem HPA-Kurs werden Sie in 52 Stunden Studium mit dem notwendigen theoretischen Wissen
vertraut gemacht. Modernste Mittel unserer E-Learning-Plattform unterstützen Sie dabei. Der Kurs schliesst
mit einer Prüfung bei Horizon und einem entsprechenden Kurszertifikat ab.
Der Kurs umfasst Teile der Fächer 21-Airframes & Systems, Electrics, Powerplant, 32-Performance, 40Human Performance and Limitations, 50-Meteorology, 62-Radio Navigation, 81-Principles of Flight, gemäss
