Ihr neuer Mcfk Vorbau erfüllt höchste Belastungsstandards und ist nach den modernsten und
effizientesten Methoden konstruiert und hergestellt. Dies schließt Besonderheiten ein, die unbedingt bei der Montage zu beachten sind.
Lesen Sie bitte diese Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig und beachten Sie unbedingt die folgenden
Montagehinweise.
Als Käufer von unseren Carbon Produkten ist Ihnen sicherlich bekannt, welche Bedeutung die
sorgfältige Montage Ihres neuen Carbon Vorbaus einnimmt.
Sollten Sie sich bei der Montage Ihres Vorbaus nicht sicher fühlen, kontaktieren Sie uns bitte oder
wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler des Vertrauens unter Vorlage dieser Bedienungsanleitung!
Ihr neuer Carbon Vorbau ist ein sicherheitsrelevantes Bauteil und muss auch so behandelt und
montiert werden.

Stellen Sie bei der Montage Ihres neuen Carbon Vorbaus sicher, dass Ihr Gabelschaft eine ausreichende Länge besitzt. Ihr Schaft darf nur 1,5 mm kürzer als Ihr neuer Carbon Vorbau sein, d.h.
er muss mindestens 42 mm Klemmfläche bieten. Optimal wäre es, wenn der Gabelschaft länger
als der Vorbau ist.
Die Schrauben der Schaftklemmung sind mit maximal 5 Nm anzuziehen, größtenteils reichen
bereits 3,5 Nm für eine sichere Klemmung. Die Schrauben zur Lenkermontage dürfen nur mit
maximal 3 Nm angezogen werden! Sollte der Hersteller des Lenkers oder des Gabelschafts
höhere Drehmomente empfehlen, gelten diese in der Regel für dickwandige Aluminium Vorbauten
und nicht für Ihren neuen Carbon Vorbau.
Garantie:
Ausgehend von dem Kaufdatum gewähren wir zwei Jahre Garantie auf unsere Produkte. Garantieansprüche können nur unter Vorlage einer Händlerrechnung (Kopie) geltend gemacht werden.
Sollte keine Rechnung mehr vorhanden sein gilt das Produktionsdatum.
Beachten Sie bitte, dass die vier Schrauben an der Lenkerklemmung zwar den selben Schraubenkopf besitzen wie die zwei
Schrauben an der Schaftklemmung, jedoch die lenkerseitigen
Schrauben ein M4-Gewinde besitzen und nicht wie die Schaftschrauben ein M5-Gewinde.
Ziehen Sie deshalb vor allem die lenkerseitigen Schrauben besonders behutsam an.
Die Garantie schließt Material- und Produktionsfehler ein, nicht aber Schäden, welche durch:
• einsatzbedingten Verschleiß
• unsachgemäßen Einsatz
• Nichtbeachtung der Gebrauchshinweise
auftreten.
Garantieansprüche müssen direkt vor Ort geklärt werden und unterliegen dem Ermessen der
Firma Mcfk. Die Firma Mcfk haftet mit dieser Garantie nicht auf Schadenersatz, insbesondere nicht
für indirekte unfallbedingte Schäden, mittelbare Schäden und Folgeschäden.
Beachten Sie bitte, dass an der schaftseitigen Klemmung von Werk
aus bereits Unterlegscheiben im Carbonspalt zwischen Schrauben
und Inlays montiert wurden. Montieren oder fahren Sie Ihren neuen
Carbon Vorbau niemals ohne diese Unterlegscheiben. Diese
Unterlegscheiben sind sicherheitsrelevant für die Haltbarkeit und
Klemmkraft Ihres Vorbaus.

Instruction Manual Stem
We congratulate you on your purchase and thank you for your trust in our products. Your new carbon stem withstands highest stress and has been made to the latest and most efficient methods
of design and manufacture. This includes special features that must be considered for installation.
Please read these instructions carefully and make sure that they are observed.
As a buyer of our carbon products, you are certainly aware of the importance of the careful installation of your new carbon stem.
If you feel uncertain about the installation of your new stem, please contact us or your nearest
dealer presenting these installation instructions.
Your new carbon stem is an important safety part and should be handled and installed as such.
Before installing your new carbon stem, check to be sure that the steerer tube is of sufficient
length. The steerer tube must not be more than 1.5 mm shorter than your new carbon shaft, in
other words, it should have at last 42 mm clamping surface. The optimum situation is when the
steerer tube is longer than the stem.

Tighten the tube clamping screws to not more than 5 Nm, in most cases 3.5 Nm is enough for safe
clamping. The maximum tightening torque of the handlebar screws is 3 Nm. If the manufacturer of
the steering tube or the handlebar recommends higher tightening torques, these normally apply to
thick-wall aluminium stems and not to your new carbon stem.
Warranty:
We grant a warranty of two years from the date of purchase of our products. Warranty
claims can only be accepted if a (copy of the) dealer invoice is available.
Please note that the four handlebar clamping screws may have the
same heads as the two screws of the tube clamp but the handlebar
screws have M4 thread whereas the tube screws have M5 thread.
So please tighten especially the handlebar screws with particular
care.
The warranty covers defects of material and workmanship; it does not cover defects due
to:
• Normal wear and tear
• Improper use
• Non-compliance with the instructions for use.
Warranty claims must be settled on site and are at the discretion of the firm Mcfk. The
warranty granted by the firm Mcfk does not include compensation of damage; particularly
any indirect damage in connection with an accident, any other indirect or consequential
damage are excluded from our warranty.
Please clean and return the parts to your dealer and add a brief written account (including your contact data) and a copy of the invoice of the consignment.
Further, also note that washers between screws and inlays at the
tube clamp are installed at the factory. Never install or use your
new carbon stem every without these washers. These washers are
important and ensure the stability and safe clamping of the stem.
