 To understand HRM as modern alternative to the classic personnel
administration, to picture its development, to demonstrate different approaches
and the relations to related sciences
 To demonstrate and evaluate different design alternatives of HRM organisations,
to explain new directions
 Current topics in HRM
 Show job design measures (time, place, etc.)
 Mark releases/staff reductions regarding selected measures
 Critically appreciate assessment as a basis of performance measurement,
demonstrate different approaches for assessment
 Compensation systems/administration/controlling of Human Resources and the

 Understand the different concepts of personnel controlling
 know how to use them in practice, especially for building up controlling in
business personnel areas
 know all current topics in HR management and discuss them critically

 Gather basic ideas in PC and demonstrate them controversial, systematise
different kinds of PC, define responsible of PC and explain goals and tasks,
identify possible information sources
 Critically discuss the possibilities of organisation in PC
 Explain promising implementation concepts in business PC
 Get to know personnel planning as basis of personnel controlling
 Know and use classic and modern instruments of personnel controlling
 Show the possible applications for personnel controlling with the help of
cases/simulations
 Demonstrate selected, current questions ( co-determination, data safety)

Depending on the tasks oft he cooperation partner from economy, the
requirements of the practical case will be transferred in work tasks for the
students.
As didactic concept, project and team work will be – partly interdisciplinary –
fostered and supported.
Students will have to handle the literature research independently along the specific
assignment of tasks.
