A) Closed IM tournament - Karel Opočenský Memorial (Link: chess-results.com)
Date: June 19 to June 26, 2016.
System: Round-robin tournament with 10 players with the possibility of IM norm achievement, results will be
submitted for FIDE and National ELO Rating List. Rate of play: 90 minutes in 40 moves + 30 minutes all moves
+ 30 seconds for each move starting from the beginning of the game. The default time 60 minutes.
Financial prizes: 3 000 CZK, 2 000 CZK, 1 000 CZK.
Starting fee: ELO FIDE > 2350: 3 000 CZK, ELO FIDE 2301 – 2350: 3 500 CZK, ELO FIDE 2251 – 2300:
4 000 CZK, ELO FIDE 2200 – 2250: 4 500 CZK, ELO FIDE < 2200: 6 000 CZK ; IM – individual conditions.
B) Golden Prague - Open A (Link: chess-results.com)
System: Open Swiss tournament with 9 rounds. Results will be submitted for FIDE and National ELO Rating List.
The participants - the players with minimum ELO FIDE 1800. The organizer may make an exception.
Financial prizes: 1st 7 000 CZK, 2nd 5 000 CZK, 3rd 3 000 CZK, 4th 2 000 CZK, 5th 1 500
CZK, 6th 1 250 CZK, 7th 1 000 CZK, 8th 800 CZK, 9th 600 CZK, 10th 500 CZK. Best Junior Player (born
1.1.1996 and younger), best woman, best senior (born in year 1956 and later), best youth player (born 1.1.2001
and younger). In each category 1st prize 500 CZK.
Starting fee: GM, IM, WGM, WIM: free of charge - individual conditions; FM: 300 CZK; players with ELO
FIDE > 2299: 500 CZK; players with ELO FIDE 2200 – 2299: 600 CZK; players with ELO FIDE 2100 – 2199:
700 CZK; players with ELO FIDE 2000 – 2099: 800 CZK; players with ELO FIDE 1900 – 1999: 900 CZK;
players with ELO FIDE 1800 – 1899: 1 000 CZK; players with ELO FIDE < 1800: 1500 CZK.
C) Golden Prague – Open B (Link: chess-results.com)
System: Open Swiss tournament with 9 rounds, results will be submitted for FIDE and National ELO Rating List.
The participants - the players with ELO FIDE < 2000, or the players without ELO FIDE.
Financial prizes: 1st 3 000 CZK, 2nd 1 700 CZK, 3rd 1 200 CZK, 4th 800 CZK, 5th 600 CZK, 6th 500 CZK,
7th 400 CZK, 8th 300 CZK. Best junior player (born 1.1.1996 and younger), best woman, best senior (born in
year 1956 and older), best youth player (born 1.1.2001 and younger). In each category 1st prize 300 CZK.
Starting fee: players with ELO FIDE1800 – 1899: 500 CZK, players with ELO FIDE 1600 – 1799: 600 CZK;
players with ELO FIDE 1400 – 1599: 700 CZK; players with ELO FIDE < 1400 and players without ELO
FIDE: 800 CZK.

Common provisions for the tournaments B and C:
Rate of play: 90 minutes in 40 moves + 30 minutes all moves + 30 seconds for each move starting from the
beginning of the game.
The default time: 60 minutes.
Results: The results will be published continuously at http://chess-results.com.
Pairing: The pairing using SWISS-MANAGER programme. Swiss Manager, accelerated system in first two
rounds. Each player can take free round, but only once time in any of first four rounds, he will not be paired and
he obtains ½ point this time. In such case the player must notify the arbiter before the draw of the round.
Ranking criteria: 1. Points, 2. Middle Buchholz (the worst results is not taken into account), 3. higher ELO
average of the opponents, 4. Buchholz, 5. result in a game against opponent, 6. draw.
Prizes: Prizes will be shared using Hort system (B-max.10 prizes and C-max.8prizes). Prizes are guaranteed in
the case of 60 participants at least in each tournament and 3 participants in every category at least. Otherwise is
the organizer authorised to reduce the prize fund. The player who does not attend the closing ceremony loses the
right to award.
Discounts: 20% for the players born 1.1.1996 and younger, women, senior players (born in year 1956 and older)
and handicapped players; 10% in case of registration until 31.5.2016; Only one discount is possible. Discounts
are valid only in the case of registration sent until 31.5.2016 and transferred starting fee sent to the below
mentioned bank account until 31.5.2016.
Payment of the starting fee for the tournaments: Bank account nr.2000982576/2010, FIO Bank, Prague,
IBAN: CZ3020100000002000982576, BIC (SWIFT): FIOBCZPPXXX. The number of the variable symbol is
the date of the birthday (YYMMDD), year, year, month, month, day, day.

D) Golden Prague - Rapid Open 18.6.2016 (Link: chess-results.com)
System: Swiss System with 7 rounds, results will be submitted for FIDE and National ELO Rapid Rating List,
Rate of play: 12 minutes for the game + 5 seconds for each move starting from the beginning of the game.
Starting fee: 100 CZK for players registered in advance; 70 CZK for junior, youth, women and senior players
registered in advance. Not in advance registered players will pay an additional fee 50 CZK. GM, IM, WGM free
of charge.
Prizes: 1st 1000 CZK, 2nd 800 CZK, 3rd 600 CZK. Prizes are guaranteed in the case of 40 participants at least.
Otherwise is the organizer authorised to reduce the prize fund.
Registrations: to the Director of the Chess Festival not later than 17.6.2016 until 16:00.
E) Golden Prague – Blitz Open 25.6.2016 (Link: chess-results.com)
System: Swiss System with 13 rounds, results will be submitted for FIDE ELO Blitz Rating List.
Rate of play: 3 minutes for the game + 2 seconds for each move starting from the beginning of the game.
Starting fee: 100 CZK for players registered in advance; 70 CZK for junior, youth, women and senior players
registered in advance. Not in advance registered players will pay an additional fee 50 CZK. GM, IM, WGM free
of charge.
Prizes: 1st 1000 CZK, 2nd 800 CZK, 3rd 600 CZK. Prizes are guaranteed in the case of 40 participants at least.
Otherwise is the organizer authorised to reduce the prize fund.
