Corporate News DEAG expands local business in the Greater Berlin area Nationwide coverage for DEAG in this profitable segment Berlin, May 7, 2013 - DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG (ISIN DE000A0Z23G6) expands its regional promoter activities and comes back to its roots in the 35th year of its existence. concert concept Veranstaltungs-GmbH Berlin, the local promoter founded on June 15, 1978 by Professor Peter Schwenkow, takes over, effective immediately, to an increasing extent the local business in the BerlinBrandenburg conurbation for the tour promoters belonging to DEAG, DEAG Concerts GmbH (including Peter Maffay, The Piano Guys), DEAG Classics AG (including David Garrett, Anna Netrebko), A.C.T. Artist Agency GmbH (including Riverdance, Prince), KBK Konzert- und Künstleragentur GmbH (including Fleetwood Mac, Meat Loaf, Deep Purple) and for Manfred Hertlein Veranstaltungs GmbH (including Andreas Gabalier, Night of the Jumps, Hansi Hinterseer). concert concept Berlin had been the largest local promoter in Berlin for almost 30 years and operated, amongst others, the open-air arena Waldbühne Berlin from 1981 to 2008 and organized in all other venues up to 100 events per year. During the past years the promoter activities of concert concept were considerably reduced for the benefit of cooperation with another promoter. As a result of the decision now taken by the Executive Board of DEAG and the managing directors of the tour promoters, concert concept Berlin intends to reach again a top position as a local promoter in Berlin-Brandenburg during the coming years. In this way DEAG extends its value chain at the corporate site of Berlin and completes its nationwide regional presence: in addition to River Concerts and Elbklassik Konzerte in Hamburg and Northern Germany, Fred Handwerker Promotion in Northrhine-Westphalia, Manfred Hertlein Veranstaltungs GmbH in the Rhine-Main region and in and around Würzburg as well as Global Concerts in Southern Germany and Austria, concert concept Berlin completes the regional promoter business. The new Managing Director of concert concept Berlin will be Moritz Schwenkow, who is already in charge of the national and international distribution business. Together with Sabine Giese and Agima Samson, who have been with the company for many years, he will develop the new business of concert concept Berlin. Christian Diekmann, member of the Executive Board: “We currently generate sales revenues of EUR 36 million in the local business all over Germany. With a high population density, annually growing tourism and many attractive venues, Berlin is the best regional event market in Germany. With this expansion of concert concept Berlin, we will sustainably increase sales revenues and results.” DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG The Executive Board For further information please contact: Axel Muehlhaus, edicto GmbH Tel: +49-69-90 550 552 Email: [email protected] DEAG Deutsche Entertainment AG | Potsdamer Straße 58 D-10785 Berlin fon +49-30-810 75 0 | fax +49-30-810 75 519 | [email protected] | www.deag.de Sitz Berlin | Amtsgericht Charlottenburg | HRB Nr. 69474 | Vorstand: Prof. Peter L.
