Grade 1 School Supply List 2015-2016
In addition to the following supplies students must pay a
€ 5 deposit for the Math template.
1. Daily Routine supplies
1 DIS blue bag
Available in the school PYP office
cost € 5.
(If your child has one already, you don’t
have to buy a new one.)
(For homework, notes, and letters to be sent
home)
1 water bottle
1 snack box
There is a water only policy in
grade 1. Do not send juice, tea
or other drinks with your child.
They will be asked to put it
away and save it for the end of
the day if they bring it to
school.
Please make sure
your child has a
healthy snack. This
means NO sweets, incl. chocolate,
gummy bears, Hanuta, Knoppers,
cookies, etc. If students bring these
for snack, they will not be allowed to
eat them.
1 lunch bag
(for children who bring lunch from home.)
Lunch: It is your choice if you would like to pack a lunch for your child each day, or
order a hot school lunch each day from our food provider, Gourmetta. Order forms
for school lunch are available in the PYP office. Please note that home lunches
must be cold lunches. We have no means of heating up food from home.
Please provide your child with appropriate
rain gear when weather requires (we will
still have recess and outside play time
even if it’s cold or rainy)
For rainy days:
Raincoat with hood
Rain boots/water proof shoes
NO umbrella
For snowy or very cold days:
Warm winter coat
Gloves or mittens
Hat
Scarf
Boots or warm, waterproof shoes
You do not have to store a spare set of
clothes at school. We do ask that you pay
close attention to the weather report for
each day and make sure your child is
outfitted appropriately.
2. Miscellaneous
1 pair of indoor shoes
(Must have a closed heel or strap, no
sandals please.)
2 boxes of tissues
(To share in the classroom)
2 rolls of paper towels
(For hand washing and cleaning up in the
classroom.)
Computer Headsets + Zip Bag
For practical and hygienic reasons, students
will need to bring their own computer
headsets. Headsets should have the
following:
● Band for the headset should go over
the head,
● An attached microphone
● A volume control
● A labeled plastic zip bag for
storage
(If your child has one already, you don’t
have to buy a new one.)
Physical Education
1 sport bag containing:

4. School Work Supplies
All supplies will be organized and used as shared class resources. This means all
supplies will be combined at the beginning of the year and students will share
EVERYTHING. Therefore you do NOT need to label materials except for scissors with
your child’s name. Students will learn to be responsible for shared class resources.
The homeroom teacher will collect all supplies on the first day of school. Please
bring everything in a small bag with your child’s name on it for organizational
purposes.

curriculum areas to ensure the all students have the correct school materials.
Please submit € 15 at your interview appointment to cover the cost of these
materials.
Please remember: Only your child’s blue bag, snack box, water bottle,
sport bag, ziplock bag and scissors need to be labelled with their name.
The whole class will share all other supplies.
