Dear colleagues,
The new membership directory and annual report are on the way to you. Besides the two
booklets you will find the membership statement with your data. Please, check your contact
details and inform us about any corrections. This year we included a list of specifying the
classes by groups (on the back side). Please look at the sheet and insert your group in the field
below your address. This would be very useful as it enables better networking.
As you can see in the annual report, the list of events in 2014 is quite long. We organized many
of them from Salzburg, and co-organised numerous events. We had many expenses last year
and are very grateful for any additional support. You are kindly requested to transfer your
membership fee for 2015 and if possible, please make a donation too.
On 3 June 2105 we handed over the Prize of Tolerance to the International Olypmic Comité at
the National Library in Vienna. President Bach accepted the Prize for the Comité. The reason
for awarding the IOC with the Prize of Tolerance was the olympic spirit to unite all nations in a
peaceful competition.

After Vienna I participated in the Annual Conference of the Berlin Brandenburg Academy.
Our Alma Mater Europaea is growing too. Apart from the great achievements of Prof.Toplak in
Maribor we established a Campus in Ascoli, a new campus is pending in Magdeburg, and we
are planning a cooperation with the Deggendorf Institute of Technology.
Today is a meeting on Clinical Nanomedicine in Basel. The program is excellent and indicates a
good direction for our endeavours.
Next week are two other events in Switzerland: Prof.Tag has organised a meeting on
Organreplacement and Prof.Sitter Liver organized a Homage to Marcel Studer. As You see
within one week three meetings in Switzerland.
