No-Copper welding wire is the expression of the environmental thoughtfulness, arose from a series of
investments, aiming to a technological innovation of Pittarc Company.
The technology employed in our production plans for Submerged Arc Welding wire has been developed
by our own technicians in cooperation with Pittini Impianti Company. This high performing manufacturing
process, using a worldwide exclusive technology, ensures the high quality and competitiveness level of
the Pittarc SAW wires. In addition to the standard qualities available, Pittarc produces special wires
according to customer’s specification or requirement.
The raw material used for the production of SAW wires has a low content of impurities and gases, in order
to obtain good toughness even at very low temperatures. The manufacturing process is implemented in
a single pass including three progressive phases: reduction of the wire, cleaning and copper
coating. The

wire diameter is reduced through cold rolling and/or drawing. The wire is cleaned by electrochemical pickling on line in order to make the copper
coating firmly

Unsere Anlagen für die Produktion von Unterpulver-Schweißdrähten sind ein Forschungsergebnis unserer Techniker in Zusammenarbeit
mit Pittini Impianti. Diese weltweit einmalige Verfahrenstechnik verleiht den PITTARC-Drähten ein hohes Qualitätsniveau und macht sie
äußerst wettbewerbsfähig. Neben den im Katalog erhältlichen Standardmodellen können wir auch Spezialanfertigungen liefern, die nach
Kundenspezifikationen herstellt werden.
Der für die Produktion der Unterpulver-Schweißdrähte verwendete Draht weist wenige Verunreinigungen und einen niedrigen Gasgehalt
auf, so dass 750

einzigen Schritt, der drei verschiedene Phasen umfasst: Verkleinerung, Reinigung und Verkupferung. Die Durchmesserverkleinerung erfolgt beim
Kaltwalzen und/oder beim Drahtziehen. Die Drahtreinigung erfolgt per elektrochemischer Entzunderung, damit die Verkupferung perfekt haftet.
Die Verkupferung erfolgt elektrochemisch, wird ständig kontrolliert und mit geeigneten Geräten geprüft, so dass wir sowohl die Qualität als
Prozentanteil als auch die Dicke in Mikrometern bestimmen können.
Der niedrige Kupfergehalt garantiert einen guten Oxidationsschutz, ohne dass dadurch die mechanischen Eigenschaften der Schweißnähte
beeinträchtigt werden.

Draht ist folglich ein echter Fortschritt für die Verwendung an hoch produktiven Schweißstationen,

und ohne Schwierigkeiten bzw. Einschränkungen bei Handling und Lagerung.

Die Qualität der Pittarc-Schutzgas-Schweißdrähte wird durch die Verwendung von Walzdrähten aus dem Stahlwerk der Gruppe mit niedrigem
Gasgehalt und wenigen Verunreinigungen, durch ständig kontrollierte Produktionsprozesse und durch sorgfältige Laborkontrollen der halbfertigen
Produkte garantiert.
Durch die Vorbereitung des Drahts durch mechanische Reinigung und chemische Entzunderung und die Verarbeitung auf modernsten Anlagen mit
hochtechnologischen Verfahren erhalten wir Drähte mit ausgezeichneten Schweißeigenschaften von gleichbleibend hoher Qualität.

The wire in drum packaging is available for diameters from 0.8 to 2.0 mm, in sizes ranging from 250 - 350
- 450 kg to 600 kg. This packaging is particularly suitable for robotic high-throughput stations and high
efficiency welding plants.

The quality of the gas shielded welding wire is ensured by the employ of raw material with low level
of impurities and gas and produced in our own steelworks, by manufacturing processes systematically
controlled, by semi-finished and end-product checked on line and in our own laboratories.
Before the drawing the wire rod is perfectly cleaned in a two phases process; firstly the major oxides
(calamine/scale) are removed from the surface through mechanical descaling; the wire rod is then deeply
cleaned in a second step through electrochemical pickling. This process is obtained on special high
technological plant ensuring a perfect copper coating adherence as well as an excellent performance and
feeding of the wire even on applications with long liners.

Die Pittini-Gruppe nahm ihre Geschäftstätigkeit gegen Ende der 1950er
Jahre in Osoppo auf, wo immer noch die Hauptproduktionsanlage sich
befindet. Sie machte sich ab sofort auf internationaler Ebene einen Namen
und sammelte umfangreiche Erfahrung im Bereich Produktionstechnologien,
Stahlverarbeitung und den anschließenden Verarbeitungsschritten des
Walzens und des Ziehens. In über 50 Jahren Geschäftstätigkeit machte
die Gruppe dank der Technologie, Qualität und Synergien ihrer zahlreichen
Sparten in Italien und in Europa eine einmalige Entwicklung durch.
Die Schweißdrähte-Herstellungstätigkeit von PITTARC begann in den 1970er
Jahren mit der Marke FILARC und seit den 1980er Jahren ist PITTARC
ein Bestandteil der Kaltabteilungen der Pittini-Gruppe. In rund 40 Jahren
Erfahrung im Bereich des Rohstoffziehens wurden Technologien, Anlagen
und Produktionsprozesse entwickelt, die PITTARC zu einem Branchenführer
gemacht haben. Die Produktion umfasst CO2-Schutzgas-Schweißdrähte und
Unterpulver-Schweißdrähte, die in verschiedensten Bereiche Anwendung
finden, von der Druckbehälterindustrie bis hin zu den schweren und leichten
Stahlbauten, von den Rohrleitungen bis hin zur Energiebranche der Kernund erneuerbaren Energien. PITTARC-Produkte werden in ihrer Qualität von

industry.
The production includes gas shielded as well as submerged arc welding
wire used in a large variety of applications, like pressure vessels, light and
