From the Beginning the Linocut Today prize has been generously supported by Deutsche Linoleumwerke Bietigheim-Bissingen. Linocut Today involves three prizes of € 5000, € 3000 and € 2000 respectively. An exhibition catalogue is also published. Conditions for participation The competition is open to all professional artists; there are neither regional nor national restrictions. Only works created exclusively or mainly using the linocut technique can be submitted. If the work involves a combination of techniques, these must be declared. The submitted works must had been produced in 2014 or 2015 and should not have been entered for any other competition. All the works must be available for purchase. Preliminary round Each artist can submit a maximum of three works. In the preliminary round, an internal jury decides, on the basis of photographs (at least 13x18 cm) or computer print-outs (DIN A4), which artists will be invited to enter original works for the final round of the competition. Photographs and/or computer print-outs and the completed participation forms should be sent to: Städtische Galerie Hauptstr. 60-64 D-74321 Bietigheim-Bissingen Germany Deadline for the preliminary round is December 4, 2015 To facilitate the work of the jury, the quality of the pictures of the works envisaged for the competition must be as expressive as possible.
