25 Tonnes through every Log
Impressive Hydraulics ensure Permanent Pressure
More and more people are using firewood. This helps to use
sustainable energy sources. MTD now has a log splitter in its
range, which has 25 tonnes of power to cut through logs of up to
63.5 centimetres.
For centuries, people have cut up their fuel wood with an axe and
woodsplitting hammer. Later, farmers used cleavers with their tractors.
Since increasing numbers of people are installing wood burners and
cutting their own firewood, log splitters have become sought-after for
private use.
MTD has developed a high-performance machine in the form of the
LS 550. The powerful Briggs & Stratton engine with an output of 2.6
kW cuts through logs with a length of up to 63.5 centimetres with its
25 tonne cutting force. The cast-iron base plate creates enormous
stability.
A major hydraulic tank ensures reliable and permanent pressure. Of
course, the splitting wedge can be replaced.
Two-handed operation is easy and safe. You can work vertically and
horizontally with this stable construction.
