S-CDNT Conference!
Herzlich willkommen zum
8. SPDT Weltkongress.
We are fortunate to have such
an inspiring and beautiful site for
our meeting.
Wir freuen uns, dass wir in diesem
Jahr mit dem Weltkongress in Ulm,
an einem schönen und inspirierenden Konferenzort gastieren.
Ein Höhepunkt im Programm sind
sicherlich die Vorträge von Rom
Harrè. Dorothea Orem wurde in der
Entwicklung ihrer Arbeit von Harrè
in mehrfacher Hinsicht beeinflusst.
Er hat über sechzig Bücher in den
letzten 30 Jahren zu philosophischen und psychologischen
Grundlagenthemen veröffentlicht.
Seine Arbeit zu den Themen
"Selbst" und "Selbst und Andere"
bietet uns Möglichkeiten, die
Selbstpflegedefizit-Theorie besser
zu verstehen und die wissenschaftlich notwendigen Fragen zu
stellen. In diesem Jahr werden
Kollegen aus über 15 Ländern die
internationale Anwendung der
Orem Konzeptionen vorstellen. So
wird es für uns eine Herausforderung
sein, Netzwerke für Pflegewissenschaftler und Praktiker aus
verschiedenen Kulturen und
Gesellschaften einzurichten.
Ich würde mir wünschen, dass Sie
die Gelegenheiten für Gespräche
und fachliche Diskurse mit Ihren
internationalen Kollegen nutzen.
A highlight of the program will
be the presentations by Rom
Harré. Orem cites Harré as an
influence on her work. He has
published over 60 books in the
past 30 years, both in the
philisophy of science and the
foundations of social psychology.
His work on the self and self and
others gives us a foundation for
better understanding S-CDNT.
This years's conference
highlights the international use
of Orem's nursing theory with
participants from over 15
countries. It will be a challenge
for all of us to establish network
of nursing scientists and
practitioners across the variety
of cultural and political contexts
within which we work.
I hope each of you will take
advantage of the opportunities
for dialog about the theory
between the participation from
different backgrounds and
perspective.

Herausforderungen in der Pflege von ihrer wissenschaftlichen
Seite beleuchtet werden. Im Mittelpunkt des Kongresses wird
die Selbstpflege-Theorie stehen. Ich halte diesen internationalen
Kongress auch darum für sinnvoll, weil die Gesundheitssysteme
weltweit vor vergleichbaren Herausforderungen stehen und hier
wichtige Erfahrungen ausgetauscht werden können.

and educators, who are interested in Orem’s conceptualizations of nursing.
The congress offers a forum for
the presentation and discussion
of international developments in
nursing practice, research,
management and education.

distance (3 min) opposite the Congress Center toward Neu-Ulm.

Conference guided Excusion (by bus) to famous sites of the
"Schwäbische Barockstraße" (Swabian Baroque Road):

Following the "Swabian Baroque Road" the first stop will be
Obermarchtal which was founded in 776 already. The present church
and monastery was built between 1686-1692 and is one of the early
building in barock style. The next stop will be the little village of
Steinhausen with it's famous church St. Peter and Paul. It is known as
masterpiece of South-Germany's rococco period which has been
captivating its visitors with its vitality, its lifelike natural arrangements
and its merry and festive atmosphere.
The excursion will end at the former independend Benedictine abbey
at Wiblingen. The monastery we see today was built between
1741-1781. The library in roccoco style is one of the finest of its kind in
southern Germany.
