(sleeping beauty half asleep)
the sleeping beauty half asleep works came from an in tense
occupation with lucid dreaming. half asleep, half awake the mind
is a deriva te of reality paired with absurd images, altogether
resulting in peculiar complex ities. the sleeping individual i s
diving into a kind of perceivable infant world.
seeking for the appropriate material led the artist back to her
own childhood. stapled, glued and painted, the pictures are a sort
of sculptural paintings. they make a strange general impression,
though the content stems from reality.
the title chosen is a cross-reference to the princess -like 100
years slumber in which society is stuck everyday.
