Welcome of participants, short presentation of each partners and of the mobility with his objectives
German partner welcomes participants and proposes the agenda of the meeting. All the partners agree
with the proposed agenda.
Each partner presents the organization and the staff.
Before starting the presentation the group acts in some warm – up methods like partner interview, fruit
salat and red to red. This methods are used in the training courses.
Presentation of “agil/prompt” Project
Monika Weißenborn (GEWERKSTATT) gives a short presentation of agil/prompt project.
The agency agil was found in 1995 by Northrhine Westphalia Ministery for Gender and Equal
opportunities as a model for an agency with legal workers in private households. In 3 cities in NRW
(Bochum, Düsseldorf, Aachen) social companies like the GEWERKSTATT developed a concept how
to implement such a service. The basic of the concept was to qualify long term unemployed , low
qualified , migrants and jobless women and men for a work in the agency. The agency offers all
services around a private household but mostly cleaning. We developed a 6 month training course for
domestic aid and started with 25 women in the training course. Today we had about 100 women
working in legal jobs in the two agencies serving around 900 customers. The second agency prompt
was founded in 2000 and a had an approach to serve not only private households but also customers
with diseases and elderly people. Customers of agil had to pay a wage about 16,00 €/hour privately.
While customers of prompt are paid via the community or through insurances. Here we cooperate with
care institutions and work as a sub company for the domestic work. Since 1995 we trained about 500
women and men with an integration rate of 60% directly into the Labour market.

After the presentation of the agencies we visited a private household. There the teacher Mrs Schäpers
demonstrated the practical approach of the training course. Here she shows the different tasks of
cleaning and where to use different materials like household cleaners or polish. Also they showed a
special method to unfold a cloth.
After Lunch break in BOGATA Monika Weißenborn Frauke Prange Thalmann presented different
practical and theoretical methods of learning tools which are used in the 6 month training course for
women. The theory was mainly based on the method of TCI – Theme Centered Interaction which was
developed and influenced from psychoanalysis and therapists like Ruth Coen. TCI uses structures in
the process of the group to achieve a dynamic balance between the various needs of the individuals, the
interaction in the group and her task (I –WE –IT – Balance) and to respect the environment in closest
and widest sense.

The day closes with a feed back round under the method of „What take I with me in my suitcase“ and
an evaluation questionnaire.
At 7.30 p.m. we had the social dinner of the project at Restaurant “Henrichs” in Hattingen

The second day of the meeting was scheduled in a suburb part of Bochum called the Hustadt. This part
of the city was build at the same time the Bochum University was founded in 1965. (see Wikipedia for
more information).
The Hustadt is a complex with about 2500 inhabitants from now about 60 different nations. This
mixture causes a lot of problems in the social living.
Gewerkstatt runs a project called “Quartiershausmeister”. 4 long term unemployed men worked now as
public servants. Another project is a social cafe which will be open at 1.11.2010. This cafe was the
venue for the meeting. Sabine Gemba (GEWERKSTATT) gives an overview about the project and the
learning methods she used in the training of the men. Than she focuses the morning session as an
“Odyssee” for the participants
Additionally she showed some video projects which are made with children and youngsters from the
Hustadt.
Than we visited the “Stadtumbaubüro” where Mrs Julia Schnetger told about the approach of the
whole project Stadtumbau West.
For Lunch we met at the canteen of the Ruhr University Bochum.
After Lunch we visited the Art Museum of the Ruhr University.
The last session was at the University department for Slavistik. Dr. Holger Gemba presents a project
about LesenHQ. This is an interactive internet based system for german and russia as a foreign
language. Dr. Gemba presents the database for long distance learning. At the end of the meeting we
had another evaluation session with a questionnaire.

Simona Battistella asked for documents to put inside the GHOL platform like pictures, reports ,
learning methods.
Dennis Rouque announced the next meeting in France in April 2011.
On the 29th of October we visited the Bergbaumuseum in Bochum
