Harry Keaton is a Magic Man and a master of ceremony.
His scope and flexibility are remarkable. He enchants with
extraordinary, powerful magic, on stage and in the midst
of the audience.
On special occasions, he presents with a lot of humor and
charm. Besides the impressive miracles, there is always a
lot to laugh about.
Keaton's "Love Charm" is a feature-length show that is
received enthusiastically by the audience.
As a glass-shattering artist – the only one worldwide, by
the way – he sings real drinking glasses, vases and glass
panes to pieces. In addition, he puts on spectacular
performances such as predicting the last football world
championship.
And everything he does contains this wonderful lightness
and hearty humor. Often, the artist himself seems
surprised by his miracles: "isn't this amazing?" he then
asks. Yes, it is indeed!
For his first engagement at the age of ten, Harry Keaton was
paid two German marks and three pieces of cake.
In 1983 he effortlessly passed the entrance exam to the
"Magic Circle of Germany". In addition, he became a member
of the "International Brotherhood of Magicians".
An unusual magician requires a wide range of knowledge and
abilities: psychology is part of it, as are dexterous fingers,
refined language, knowledge of theater and the media...
That's why Keaton studied German Language and Literature
Studies and Theater Studies in Frankfurt, Germany, and New
Jersey, USA. He completed his studies with a doctorate
(PhD) and undertook an internship at the CBS television
station in New York.
Dr. Keaton became the German vice-champion of the
Comedy-Magie,

and received the sponsorship award for culture in his home
county of Offenbach. By now, he was already at home on
all the stages of the world.
He performed in the famous New York theater-café Mostly
Magic, had his debut in front of Prince Charles, Queen
Sophie
of
Spain
and
King
Constantine
of
Greece.
Appearances with Thomas Gottschalk, Uli Stein, Boris
Becker and Pete Sampras followed. Jochen Maas called him
to Monaco for the Formula 1, and in Jürgen von der
Lippe's show he was voted the darling of the public in
front of 7.5 million TV viewers. The golf-pro Bernhard
Langer and the golf elite were just as fascinated by the
Magic
Man,
as
were
Gerhard
Meyer-Vorfelder,
Fritz
Wepper, Sepp Maier and Franzi van Almsick. Even the
German chancellor Helmut Kohl was glad to be enchanted.
His charming and professional manner of presenting was in
ever-greater demand – with or without the art of magic.
Despite the success, Keaton constantly set new goals for
himself. The likable artist devoured whole light bulbs and
continued to develop his famous ice-block illusion. At the
start of 2007 he successfully sang a drinking glass to
pieces for the first time: the idea of shattering glass began
to crystallize – a unique program worldwide.
For two years now Harry Keaton has been presenting the
show "Liebeszauber" – Love Charm – an unusual show with
lots of magic and humor, all about love.

Glass-shattering artist
A drinking glass. Harry Keaton stands before it. His gaze is
calmly concentrated on the glass. He does not speak. He
sings! Eerily beautiful, his voice spirals to higher and higher
notes. His singing sounds weird, bizarre, intense and –
amusing. The material begins to vibrate. It resists for a little
longer. But as the bloodcurdling cry of the glass-shattering
artist increases the vibrations, the resonance catastrophe
happens: the drinking glass cracks and bursts with great

of glass: vases, drinking glasses, panes ....
The audience tests the material carefully... Really, it's just
ordinary commercial glass. The drawn-out cry of the glassshattering artist makes the glass vibrate. The so-called
resonance catastrophe happens, and the drinking glass
bursts with enormous force. Even in the hands of members
of the audience the incredible takes place: in a duet, Keaton
and a spectator make the glass bursts into thousands of
shards (the spectator is protected by goggles and gloves).
This demonstration of shattering glass is unique worldwide
and releases powerful energies. Even more powerful is the
impression the audience is left with. Does broken glass really
mean good luck, as the old German proverb claims? If so,

Performance artist
A constant curiosity and a desire for new challenges are
what drive Keaton. Thus, performances develop that are
quite out of the ordinary. They cannot be assigned to a
genre and are always spectacular. They attract attention,
provide food for thought and go beyond all boundaries.
Harry Keaton and his team develop unusual performances:
new records, such as sawing to pieces 50 women, or special
campaigns: Keaton stages messages that have a great PR
impact.
On the topic of climate protection, for example, he devoured
common commercial light bulbs at different locations –
accompanied by the German Energy Agency (DENA). For
each devoured light bulb, consumers received an energysaving light bulb.
At big national and international events, he knew the results
days in advance, for example, for the Bundestag elections
and big sports tournaments.
Conventional light bulbs will soon be prohibited entirely. All
the better, as Keaton likes to eat them. "They taste all
right. I might have them more often," is his dry comment to
the incredulous audience.

Illusion
The Harry Keaton show "News from the World of Illusion" is
perfect for motivational kick-off events, conferences, and all
events that are concerned with increasing revenue and

important role in this gala show.

be so easy to get rid of it. Indeed, Keaton doubles an
audience member's money. And more: bank notes swallow
packets of sugar and pull them into a mysterious twilight
zone. Even glass becomes soft as wax in Keaton's hands, as
clanking 2-euro coins land inside bottles. Besides these
miracles, there's a lot to laugh about in the show.

offers to double your money? With no ifs and buts, the

The suitcase of money
€500 are waiting for a new owner. Although the chances of
the spectator are good, for inexplicable reasons he or she
always decides against the money. Suggestion or hypnosis?
How free is our will? If the Magic Man (or rather the
contracting client) does want to make the spectator the
winner, however, he or she will unerringly make the right
decisions: ultimately, he or she can take the money.
Simply captivating
The Magic Man frees himself from handcuffs quick as

For trade fair presentations, objectives need to be clearly
defined. Should as many visitors as possible be attracted to
the stall? Then a pedestal and the use of a microphone and
music are recommended.
Should colleagues and customers "merely" be drawn into a
pleasant, relaxed atmosphere? In this case, direct magic is
most suitable for visitors of the stall.
Combinations with raffles, giving away free gifts related to
magic or collecting business cards (in order to win over
trade fair visitors as customers in later conversations) are
also possible.
In any case, early briefing is an important prerequisite for

Briefing:
True to the motto "The Magic Never Ends", an international customer meeting is
held. Keaton's task is to link the products and his magic, in English, in an
entertaining way. HP asks for a combination of entertainment and product
information.
Implementation:
On the one hand, the attention should be focused on the products; on the other
hand, a great atmosphere amongst the customers should be created. That is why
the Magic Man mediates between the magic effects and the products: for example,
a playing card selected by an audience member is made to disappear. Shortly
afterwards, the HP laser printer prints this disappeared playing card.
The company RÖMHELD is a market leader in the area of clamping systems
(industrial bench vices). Unlike with traditional bench vices, the power exerted can
be controlled precisely with pressurized air, several work pieces can be clamped
simultaneously, etc.
Briefing:
Keeping customers at the stall at the Dusseldorf trade fair Metav / presenting
technical product data in an emotional and entertaining manner/ motivating
employees/ if necessary, entertaining customers.
Implementation:
In addition to several word games ("clamping zone" instead of "stage", "please
come up here so you can feel the pressure"), the topic of clamping is introduced in
various ways. For example, a bottle is clamped (held down) as a "work piece" by a
visitor. This secure clamping is the prerequisite for an unusual result: a coin
penetrates the bottom of the bottle.
The third-hand function of a machine bench vice (a work piece is pretensioned; a
second work piece is clamped down and both are properly tensioned. The bench
vice thus replaces the third hand). Here, a visitor's hand is cut off and then
rejoined: thanks to the third-hand function the visitor can calmly take his hand back
home with him.

The PHOENIX PHARMAHANDEL AG is the European market-leading distributor for
pharmacies. In addition to the sales of pharmaceuticals, the Activities Services
department also offers consultations for new business openings, anniversaries, etc. On
behalf of Phoenix, Keaton is active in pharmacies across the country.
Briefing
The tasks vary from pharmacy to pharmacy: for a new opening, the aim is to draw
customers' attention to the new shop with the help of magic, or, for an anniversary, the
proprietors may want to thank customers or attract attention.
Implementation:
In pharmacies, Harry Keaton points out that freely sold drugs aid health.
For example, they strengthen the immune system, circulation and
metabolic functions of the body. He demonstrates metabolic function by
tucking a red cloth into his fist and pulling it out white. Then he shows
both hands empty. In an amusing sequel, the performer seemingly
explains the secret: apparently he used two cloths. But then the visitors
to the pharmacy are duped once again: both cloths disappear.
The company ROCKWELL-GOLDE is a leading technology business. In Europe, Rockwell
Automotive produces various parts for auto makers (roof systems, door locks, etc.).
Briefing:
Motivation of employees and customers during a boat trip/ occasional allusions to
products.
Implementation:
For example, Harry Keaton throws an invisible giant card game at a spectator. The
employee picks a card and puts it back reversed. Later, the game materializes suddenly
in a bag: "That was a perfect example of just-in-time delivery" (an important component
of the company philosophy). Of course, precisely the card selected by the spectator is
the only one that is reversed in the set. H.K. demonstrates turnover increase with the
creation of a bundle of bank notes out of worthless white paper.
