New, necessary features have been added, and unnecessary features
have been removed to make the Gear VR even easier and more convenient to use.
• With the Home and Back buttons, you can quickly move to the Oculus home screen or navigate through apps.
• The touchpad has been redesigned to be flatter and wider so you can quickly swipe without misoperation.
• Using the external Micro USB port, the connected smartphone will be charged while using the VR. Also, you can
connect other external devices (see “External USB interface”).

The addition of the USB Type-C device holder has increased the range of
compatible devices. With the new Home button and touchpad, using the
Gear VR is more intuitive than ever before. It’s also a more comfortable
experience. The updated strap and face foam helps the device fit more
comfortably to lessen fatigue.
