Meet Christine Steffanowski
contact person @ Writers Ink. e. V. - what’s behind christine steffanowski/ in her own
words
-once been told to stick to the age of 24 until I tell people that’s changed (child of the eighties, origin:
harz)
-meticulously planned youth full of choirs, piano, church organ, theater groups, dancing
-worked for newspapers
-studied modern history, philosophy and English literary and cultural studies @ TU bs
-worked in a wine shop, for an insurance company, and helped in parental business to earn a living and
to pay her tuition
-having entered the realm of university, her creative attention was drawn from playful experiments with
language to purposive writing, now juggling to manage both at once
-rather consumes than reads books on frequent train rides (having finished off almost every title from
pratchett’s discworld series, it’s jane eyre atm)
- learned from a professor @ tubs that an incorporated association with charitable status needed
someone to assist with a competition – that’s how she became contact person @ Writers Ink. e.v.
-glad that she could be of help: answered tons of enquiries and entries via email, sorted and saved all
those texts that poured in, set up and posted on Writers Ink.’s new facebook site, and got in contact with
different people from newspapers, internet forums, and a radio station to spread the word of the DPP
th
2012 and to broadcast the 10 anniversary of Writers Ink. e.V.
-THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION – AND THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME BE A PART OF THE
