Here’s how a Silent Auction works: there will be number of prizes laid out on tables in the school hall. People place their
bids on sheets of paper (in front of the prizes). At the predetermined end of the auction (6.45pm), the highest listed bidder
wins the item. So throughout the duration of the Gala, keep popping back into the hall to check the bids, and if someone
has made a higher bid than yours, make sure you add a higher one again to be in with a chance! If you win the prize, you
are contacted after the Gala, and you pick up your prize and pay the bid amount at the school office. Unlike the Live
Auction, there is no auctioneer at a Silent Auction.
