Sany kauft BetonpumpenSpezialist Putzmeister
The Chinese manufacturer of construction machinery
Sany has acquired 100 percent of the shares of the concrete
pump enterprise Putzmeister. Putzmeister declared this fact in
a press release published at the end of January. The Chinese are
said to have spent about 525 million euro for the takeover of
the German company. Sany is the market leader in sales of concrete pumps in China. Putzmeister is a leading company in most
of the markets across the world – with the exception of China.
Therefore, the press release of Putzmeister refers to the acquisition as a “strategic consequence”: “The financial strength of
Sany secures growth prospects for Putzmeister (…) Sany rounds
off their own portfolio with technologically advanced products
and innovations ‘Made in Germany’ as well as a strong sales
and service network outside China.”
German companies sought after
The Sany Group will manage all global activities of the concrete
pump segment from Baden-Wuerttemberg in future, with the
exception of the Chinese market, which will be managed from
Sany’s headquarters. The brand “Putzmeister” is said to continue as a German premium brand. According to German media
information, the Schwing company is now the number two of
German concrete pump enterprises being up for sale. Financial
Times Deutschland (FTD) states that the Rothschild Bank is currently looking for a buyer “or at least a co-investor”. China is
presently a prime market for concrete pumps. According to FTD,
8,000 pumps were sold all over the world in 2010 with eighty
percent sold in the Middle Kingdom.

von China. In der PutzmeisterPressemitteilung ist deshalb
von einer „strategischen Logik“
der Übernahme die Rede: „Die
Finanzkraft von Sany sichert
Putzmeister Wachstumsperspektiven (…) Sany komplettiert das
eigene Portfolio mit technologisch führenden Produkten
und Innovationen ‚Made in
Germany’ sowie einem starken
Vertriebs- und Servicenetz außerhalb Chinas.“
Gefragte deutsche
Unternehmen
Von Baden-Württemberg aus
will der Sany-Konzern in Zukunft alle Aktivitäten der Betonpumpen-Sparte weltweit lenken.
Ausnahme ist der chinesische
Markt, der von der Sany-Zen-
trale aus gelenkt wird. Die
Marke „Putzmeister“ soll weiter
als deutsche Premium-Marke
verkauft werden.
Laut deutschen Medien
steht mit der Firma Schwing
jetzt auch die Nummer zwei
der deutschen Betonpumpen-Bauer zum Verkauf. Die
Financial Times Deutschland
(FTD) schreibt, dass die Bank
Rothschild derzeit einen Käufer
„oder zumindest einen Co-Investor“ sucht.
China ist heute ein Hauptabsatzmarkt für Betonpumpen. Laut der FTD wurden
2010 weltweit 8.000 Pumpen
verkauft. Achtzig Prozent
davon im Reich der Mitte.
