Welcome to The Stallion Company catalogue of 2016. The end of 2015 brought more good news and confirmation that
we’re buying the right stallions: In the world sire rankings, Kannan is at #2 having been in the same position in 2012 and
2013 and #1 for 2014. Namelus R stays in the top 100. My personal pleasure was to see Quintero enter the 100 at his first
attempt at #74, then Triomphe de Muze at #80. In the eventing rankings we are delighted to announce that Grafenstolz has
entered the world top 100 at #15, a true reward for a great stallion, expect to see him at #1 in the next few years. With five
stallions in the top world top 100, The Stallion Company finds itself in the top five stallion owners in the world!
We have continued with our policy of buying young talented stallions with super blood lines in 2015; Baikal de Talma,
who we bought in 2014, proved us right with his superb performances in the French young horse classes, becoming
fully approved Selle Francais. This year we have bought Arkino Z (Arko III) in partnership with Michael Whittaker, who
will compete in 2016 in the 1.45/50m international classes. The 3 year old Cperle (pronounced Sea Pearl) by the Olympic
stallion Quintus was bought at the NASH sales in Normandy, continues our focus on French blood. His scope and flexibility
will be a plus for any breeding program.
You’ll notice a few interesting additions in the frozen semen section, notably Casall, probably the most desired stallion in
the world. The Verband have trusted us with semen from their best stallion. The Stallion Company is the only place you
can buy Casall semen outside of Holstein! Valmy de la Lande continues our focus on the young genetic, bought by Michael
Whittaker late in 2015, he claims that Valmy is “the best horse I’ve ever sat on!”
By the time you are reading this, we will have opened our first insemination centre in Ireland, in Ashbourne near Dublin. We
will be stationing at least three of our stallions there, which three will be decided by the end of January. We will offer full
insemination services, specialising in low dose frozen, as well as embryo transfer and a comprehensive stallion freezing
service for European and worldwide protocols.
The website will be updated during January, with a fresh style and graphics. Attached to the website will be an innovative
app to help our breeders choose their stallion based on criteria and physical attributes of your mare. We hope it can help
less experienced breeders to make their choices, and even for the professional breeders to perhaps confirm that their
ideas are correct. Please take some time to look at the website and enter your mare’s details and see which stallions our
panel of experts suggest.

La fin de cette année 2015 nous apporte de bonnes nouvelles et la confirmation que nous avons acheté les bons étalons :
Dans le classement mondial des reproducteurs CSO 2015, Kannan est 2ème comme en 2012 et 2013 après sa 1ère place
l’an dernier. Namelus reste dans le Top 100 et nous étions enchantés de voir entrer Quintero à la 74ème place et Triomphe
de Muze à la 80ème pour la première fois. Dans le classement des reproducteurs de CCE, nous avons le plaisir de vous
annoncer que Grafenstolz a été catapulté de zéro à la 15ème place ! C’est une récompense bien méritée et nous espérons
le voir sur la première marche du podium dans les années à venir. Avec au total cinq étalons dans le Top 100 mondial, The
Stallion Company se retrouve parmi les cinq meilleurs étalonniers au monde !
Baikal de Talma, acheté en 2014, nous a prouvé, grâce à ses performances en Cycle Classique et son approbation SF,
que nous sommes sur la bonne voie en achetant de jeunes étalons talentueux avec un bon papier. C’est ainsi que nous
avons d’abord acquis Arkino Z, en partenariat avec Michael Whitaker qui sortira l’étalon en 1m40/1m50 en preuves
internationales. Afin de se concentrer davantage sur le sang français, nous avons acheté Cperle M’Aurea aux ventes NASH,
un superbe 3 ans par Quintus (10ème JO de Pékin) qui ne manquera pas d’améliorer votre programme d’élevage.
Vous constaterez quelques étalons intéressants de plus dans la catégorie “Congelé”, notamment Casall qui est certainement
l’étalon le plus recherché au monde actuellement. Le Holsteiner Verband nous a fait confiance pour la semence de leur
meilleur étalon, The Stallion Company est probablement le seul endroit au monde hors du Holstein ou vous pouvez acquerir
du Casall! Valmy de la Lande confirme la volonté d’investir dans la jeune génétique, il a récemment été acheté par Michael
Whitaker qui disait: “ C’est le meilleur cheval sur lequel j’ai été assis!”
Lorsque vous lirez ceci, nous aurons ouvert notre premier centre d’insémination en Irlande à proximité de Dublin.
Nous y stationnerons au moins trois étalons d’ici fin janvier et nous proposerons une gamme complète de services de
transfert d’embryon, de congélation de semences selon les protocoles européens et mondiaux et une spécialisation dans
l’insémination profonde pour les doses réduites.
Le Site internet sera mis à jour fin janvier avec une nouvelle mise en page plus dynamique et un outil informatique innovant
qui permettront aux éleveurs de choisir l’étalon en fonction des caractéristiques de la jument. Nous espérons que cela
puisse aider les éleveurs moins expérimentés à faire leurs choix et réconforter les professionnels dans leurs idées de
croisements.

Frazes nous provient directement du Haras National de Pologne, ou sa souche maternelle est estimée et
conservée depuis plus de 17 générations. Son père Sebastian a produit plusieurs chevaux CSI 3 et 4* de
qualité, très appréciés sur les circuits d’Europe de l’Est. Le père de mère Judex, a été longtemps stationné
en Pologne puis au haras de Flyinge/Suède où il a beaucoup influencé le programme d’élevage.
Au sein de sa race, Frazes est un étalon atypique grâce à son cadre plus impressionnant, son calme
exemplaire et des allures défiant la concurrence. C’est un excellent améliorateur dont le sang nouveau
est une aubaine pour l’elevage AA actuel. Ses poulains heritent d’un dos fort et e presentent comme des
youngsters talentueux et elegants pour CCE et CSO.

Valmy finit les Championnats de France 5ans en 2014 dans le Top10 avec 16 parcours sans faute sur
22. En 2015, avec sa cavalière Axelle Lagoubie, le couple se classe 5ème à la finale de Fontainebleau
et 4ème par les gains. Valmy termine l’année avec un ISO de 151 (!) et un BSO +20, une performance
incroyable pour un cheval de son âge.
Convincing in the 5 yo French jumping Championships with 16 clear rounds out of 22, Valmy
finished in the Top10 in 2014. With his rider Axelle Lagoubie, he did even better in 2015: He ranked
5th at the French 6 yo finals in Fontainebleau and 4th of his generation in terms of price money.
Valmy finished his season with a jumping index of 151, which is absolutely outstanding for a 6 yo.

de la Lande. Valmy’s damsire Starter was one of the foundation stallions of modern SF breeding. Valmy’s
sports results are superlative for a horse of his age, with an ISO index of 151 (2015), this really is
exceptional, putting him in the top 2% of all competing horses in France.
Michael Whittaker bought the horse in the Autumn of 2015, saying that “it’s the best horse I’ve ever sat
on”, we’ve only heard him say that once! Valmy is very blood type, and will refine and add quality to
mares. He has a great canter and walk, as well as enormous respect at the fence, which we expect him
to pass on to his offspring. We recommend him for heavier to medium weight mares, who need a touch
of sparkle, and scope. Definitely a star to watch in 2016.

Valmys Vater ist Pénélope Leprevosts ehemaliges Olympiapferd Mylord Carthago, der einer weisen
Kreuzung zwischen Holsteins und Frankreichs Eliteblutlinien ist (Carthago x Jalisco B). Valmy ist zudem
ein Halbbruder des CSI3*-Springers Norway de la Lande unter Axelle Lagoubie. Muttervater ist Starter,
einer der Gründerhengste der modernen Selle Français-Zucht. Der talentierte Junghengst Valmy wurde
vor kurzem von Michael Whittaker erworben, der sagte: “Er ist das beste Pferd auf dem ich je gesessen

Baikal a fait une très bonne année de 4 ans avec un double sans-faute à la fois au CIR de Pompadour
et à la finale de Fontainebleau où il est noté 16/20 pour sa performance. A la fin de la saison, Baikal
présente un ISO de 120 et un exceptionnel BSO de +20. Aux Masters L’Eperon des jeunes étalons,
Baikal obtient 10/10 pour sa génétique lignée maternelle.
Baikal had a fantastic 4 yo season with a double clear-round at Regional Championships in
Pompadour and a clear round at the national finals in Fontainebleau (where he gets 16 points out of
20 for his performance). At the end of 2015, Baikal has a great jumping index with 120 points. During
the Young Stallion L’Eperon masters in Saint-Lo, Baikal gets 10/10 for his damline genetics.

Baikal’s sire Catoki, former CSI 5* performer ridden by Philip Weishaupt and 2nd at german 5 yo
championships, seems to mass-produce outstanding jumpers. His mother line is the best for showjumping
in all France with a lot of stars: Master van de Helle, Col Canto, Gin Tonic Star, Ernest and even the regretted
Vigo Cécé. Baikal’s granddam Etoile du Chateau is a full sister to Sophie du Chateau who foaled the famous
Itot du Chateau.
Baikal a pour père Catoki, l’ancien étalon CSI 5* de Philipp Weishaupt et vice-champion d’Allemagne 5ans qui
semble produire des talents hors-normes en série. La lignée maternelle est la meilleure de l’hexagone pour
le CSO avec d’innombrables stars : Master van de Helle, Col Canto, Gin Tonic Star, Ernest ou encore le regretté
Vigo Cécé. La grand-mère de Baikal, Etoile du Château, est une propre sœur de Sophie du Château qui a son
tour a produit le fameux Itot du Château.
Baikal has recently been approved for SF and AES and will start his first breeding season in 2016. He is
endowed with perfect balance and noted for his scope and canter. Confidence and energy permit him
to enter each competition calmly but with courage. Baikal is a strong, compact and applied stallion who
despite of his young age has everything a big horse should have.

N’ayant que 3ans actuellement, Cperle n’a pas encore de performance et nous attendons
impatiemment 2016 pour sa première saison. Il faut souligner son approbation Zangersheide, ou
il a éte remarqué grace à une regularité impressionante, et sa sélection aux ventes NASH avec un
pédigrée commercial et des radios excellentes.
As he is only 3 years old, Cperle has no personal perfomances yet and why we are waiting so
impatiently for the 2016 jumping season. It should be noted that he was approved Z due to an
oustanding regularity on the jump and that he has been selected for NASH auctions with excellent
x-rays and a commercial pedigree.
Da er erst 3 Jahre alt ist hat Cperle bisher noch keine persönlichen Erfolge und wir warten gespannt
auf die Turniersaison 2016. Es ist hervorzuheben dass er bei seiner Körung für Zangersheide durch
ausgefallene Regelmässigkeit auffiel und in die NASH Aktionsauswahl kam dank hervorragender
Röntgenaufnahmen und kommerzieller Abstammung.
Cperle a un tempérament de gentleman, une grande volonté de bien faire et beaucoup de respect
sur les barres. Nous l’avons acheté aux ventes NASH pour son coup de saut mémorable, sa bonne
locomotion et une bonne impression générale. Cperle est un plaisir sous la selle, et il faudra surveiller
avec intérêt sa première saison de concours et de saillie en 2016.

uterine sister to international stars like Idéal Brécéen (CSI5* with Patrice Delaveau) and Espoir Brécéen,
Grand Prix stallion ridden by Thierry Klein. The motherline also produced Newton du Haut-Bois (CSI5*
with Pius Schwizer) and Ilot Brécéen (approved Selle Français). We bought Cperle from the famous NASH
sale in Normandy in 2015, and he proved very easy to start and is already jumping well under saddle.

He has a super temperament and his respect for fences is outstanding. The scope he shows in the free
jumping video, is repeated under saddle. We expect him to mark his production with chic, blood, scope
and a great locomotion, so he will do well with mares who lack blood and need a bit of quality. A young
star to watch in 2016.

After his victories in the Bundeschampionnat 6 year old (he made the final of all three sports in the same
year) and the World Eventing Championships in 2004 with his rider Michael Jung, Grafenstolz became

Williams), Bentley est retiré du sport pour se consacrer à la reproduction. Le respect des barres et un
mental extraordinaire sont ancrés dans les gènes de Bentley. Ses poulains sont remarqués et primés
pour leur dos fort, l’impressionnante impulsion et une technique hors du commun.

His motherline is one of the most prestigious in Belgium and resulted in well-known jumpers like Utrillo
vd Heffinck, Upsilon vd Heffinck, Uzi, Conrad de la Vie Z etc. His dam Souvenir was victorious with Wilm
Vermeir at GP level and his granddam Kinette produced the outstanding Quel Homme vd Heffinck. And
don’t forget the presence of the famous Nimmerdor in his pedigree, damsire of our Kannan (WBFSH #2,
2015).
Wie auch Cornet Obolensky, stammt Bentley aus einer bewährten Clinton x Heartbreaker Kreuzung.
Seine Mutterlinie zählt zu den erfolgreichsten Belgiens und brachte mehrere bekannte Stars wie
Utrillo vd Heffinck, Uzi, Upsilon vd Heffinck oder Caresse Le Reve). Bentleys Mutter Souvenir war
selbst bis GP erfolgreich unter Wilm Vermeir und ist eine Halbschwester zu Quel Homme vd Heffinck.
Zu guter Letzt führt Bentley auch Nimmerdor im Stammbaum, den Muttervater von unserem Kannan
(WBFSH #2, 2015).
Nach einer Sportkarriere im 1m 50 Bereich unter verschiedenen Reitern (Guy Williams, Harrie Smolders,
Wilm Vermeir) wird Bentley nun ausschließlich in der Zucht eingesetzt. Respekt am Sprung und der super
Charakter des Hengstes sind fest in den Genen verankert. Nachkommen erreichen Prämienstatus dank
ihrem starken Rücken, ausgezeichneter Hinterhandaktion und super Technik am Sprung.

Bentley has been retired after a sport career at 1m50 level with several riders (Guy Williams, Harrie
Smolders, Wilm Vermeir) to be a successful sire. He is already the sire of the French 5 and 6yo champions
and the Belgian 5, 6 and 7yo champions (not even Kannan has done this). Respect at the jump and
super mentality are deeply embedded in his genes. His offspring is awarded for strong back, impressive
impulsion behind and perfect foreleg technique.
Tout comme Cornet Obolensky, Bentley est issu d‘une combinaison génétique qui a fait ses preuves :
Clinton x Heartbreaker. De plus il est issu d’une lignée maternelle prestigieuse en Belgique qui produit

CANTURADO
Canturado debute le circuit international avec Mike Patrick Leichle en 2011. Ils se classent 3ème
aux CSI3* de Varsovie et Vestfold puis 7ème dans le CSI5* de Leipzig avant de faire un sans-fautes
au CSI5* de Donetsk. En 2013 il change d’ecurie et rejoint Christian Hess. Le couple remporte une
fois le CSI3* de Leszno, puis se classe 2nd a Poznan (CSI3*), 6ème à Neumünster (CSI3*) et 15ème
au CSI5* de Leipzig avec un sans-faute. Après une blessure début 2015, Canturado reprendra la
compétition en 2016.

Canturado begins international classes in 2011 ridden by Mike Patrick Leichle. They rank 3rd in
3*-classes in Warsaw and Vestfold, then finishes 7th in CSI5* Leipzig and has a clear round in

Canturado is a son of Canturo who went to the Olympics in Athens at the tender age of 8. Canturo
stands out as a major sire for showjumping the last decade in producing quality jumpers like Canturano,
Canstakko or Upsilon (French eventing champion 4 and 5 yo). Canturado’s dam Kamille is a full sister
of the five Acorado brothers. Acord II, one of Holsteins most successful stallions, is listed as damsire in
Canturado’s pedigree.

Canturados Vater ist niemand anderes als Canturo, der sich schon 8-jährig für die Olympiade in Athen
qualifizierte. Canturo hat sich die letzten Jahre zum unumgänglichen Springvererber entwickelt dank des
prominenten Nachwuchses: Cantastakko, Canturano sowie Upsilon (Vielseitigkeitschampion Frankreich
4 und 5-jährig). Canturado’s Mutter Kamille ist eine Vollschwester zu den Acorado-Brüdern und somit
eine Tochter des Holsteiner Beschälers Acord II.
