Charity wristbands.
Rubber wrist bands have taken the United States by storm. It's the
latest trend in supporting charities, and it seems every charity under
the sun is now marketing their own coloured wrist band. Australia
has now picked up on the trend, and you can also bid on sold out
yellow wrist bands on Ebay. But now, it seems wrist bands are being
sold by companies with no funds going to charity.

Die Stiftung zur Förderung der Bucerius Law School hat heute die
Fundraising-Kampagne "1.000 x 1.000" gestartet. Ziel der Kampagne
ist es, mit dem Aufbau eines eigenen Kapitalstocks zu beginnen, der
langfristig die Unabhängigkeit der Hochschule sichern soll. In einem
ersten Schritt sollen 1.000 Zustifter gewonnen werden, die das
Kapital der Stiftung um jeweils 1.000 Euro auf über eine Million
Euro erhöhen.

Procter learned through research, was that 15 percent of Israel's
population is conservative and does not watch TV. So Procter held a

Young Pianist Donates CD Proceeds to Charity.
For several years, 17-year-old Tyler Sanchez had been composing
original songs on the piano and performing for nursing home
residents in his hometown of Racine, Wis. He was looking for a way
to bring hope to even more people. He hit upon the idea of
composing and professionally recording a CD of his original
compositions and donating all of the proceeds to charity. He called
his project "Notes for Hope" and titled his CD "A New Beginning."

Huang Te-teng, an 83-year-old man from Changhua County, joined
in the Jiayi Bridge Building Benevolent Society after he retired from
Taiwan Shipbuilding. Over the past 10 years or so, he has driven his
motorcycle around to take part in various activities of the benevolent
society. Huang does not make an issue of traveling long distances to
