L’ elemento sensibile consiste in due chips di silicio saldati assieme. Il chip superiore è in
pratica un circuito integrato con piezoresistenze diffuse e posizionate, attraverso un sistema di
“ micro-machining” sul chip. Le piezoresistenze formano un ponte di Wheatstone la cui uscita è
proporzionale alla pressione applicata sul diaframma di silicio.

DRUCKSENSOR
The sensing element consists of two singlecrystal silicon chips bonded together. The
top chip is an IC with piezoresistors
impianted and properly positioned within a
diaphragm micro-machined into the chip.
The piezoresistors for a Wheatstone bridge,
whose output is proportional to the pressure
difference applied to the silicon diaphragm.
