second KS 106 PERFO Card
Punch.
The installation will be another major expansion for Card
Printing Services, the third such expansion within just 18
months doubling single shift capacity of ISO/CR80 cards to
120 million cards per year. Card Printing Services are now
a major player in the European card market providing a wide
range of laminated and non-laminated card based products.
The KS PERFO Card Punch from BÜRKLE is a highly
flexible punching platform providing unparalleled high quality
and high speed punching of a wide range of card shapes and
designs. This latest edition of the KS 106 PERFO features
our servo drive punching system and unique linear drive
technology capable of delivering over 20,000 cards per hour
with a 3 x 8 card format registering all print marks.
The ‘PERFO’ is a module option available on all Bürkle KS
systems, significantly extending the punching capability from
standard CR80/ISO cards to punching a range of different
shapes, including but not limited to Keytags, Keyfobs, M6,
M6+, P5 Carriers, etc. etc., the list is endless!!!

Brydian Cards, United Kingdom to Install Complete
Plant of Equipment from BÜRKLE.
We are pleased to announce BÜRKLE have successfully
won the contract to supply Brydian Cards UK a complete
plant of equipment. The equipment due for installation
during October will consist of an Automatic Collation System,
Laminator and Card Punch. The investment will catapult
Brydian Cards (www.brydianplasticcards.co.uk) to a major
volume player in the UK and European Market.

During November and December Bürkle will also install two
additional SMARTLAM lamination systems in the UK and an
additional KS 106 PE Perfo Card Punch. Further details will
be announced shortly.
Most Successful Year for Plastic Card Division
There is still a long time to go for the
end of 2012, however this year is
already the most successful year for
BÜRKLE and it’s Plastic Card
Equipment Division.
Since expanding its range of equipment in 2008 to include;
Tape Layers, Gathering/Collation Systems, Card Punches
(Die Cutting), Guillotines and Single Card Punches the
division has seen rapid unpredicted year on year growth with
2012 beating all forecasts.
For over 30 years Robert Bürkle GmbH has been at the
forefront of plastic card lamination with the SMARTLAM
range of laminators globally recognised as the standard in
plastic card production with over 500 lamination systems
installed to date.
Larger format Card Punch Systems, Now Available
KS Punch (Die Cutting) Systems now available for punching
‘B1‘ print formats.
The use of paper-board for a variety of gift and
voucher cards has seen a rapid increase in recent
months.
These product types can be printed on
traditional large format reducing make ready and
printing costs for high volume orders.
Traditional
converting systems for these large formats can’t
produce the quality and flexibility required for these
card types therefore BÜRKLE is pleased to announce a
large format model of their highly successful KS PERFO
Card Punch capable of processing sheets up to 1016 mm
(40”) x 760 mm (30”).
Three of these large format KS PERFO systems have been
installed in Europe during April and May 2012 to fulfill the
ongoing card requirements of a global electronics company.
