I am a member of the SV (Verein für Deutsche Schäferhunde e.V., Web: www.schaeferhunde.de since 1970.
Since that time I’m very intensively involved with the
training of German Shepherd dogs. Still up to this date I
train and work all my dogs myself. For approximately 10
years I was in charge of the SV office’s protection helper
training program.
Since 1971 I held positions in the executive committee of
my region called Landesgruppe (LG), this includes 25
years of first Chairman. For 14 years I’m a member in the
executive committee of the regional committee, 10 years
of it as the LG-chairman.
On large SV shows I have handled dogs myself. I am a
member of the administrative and financial committee in the SV. Since 1991 I’m
a trial judge, since 1995 conformation judge and since 2000 Körmeister (breed
survey judge).
I had assignments to judge in performance trials and Sieger Shows in nearly all
countries of the WUSV.
In the anniversary year of the SV (100 years) I judged the “B”-part during the
Bundessiegerprüfung (trial) in Augsburg. During the Bundessiegerhauptzuchtschau 2000 in Bremen, Germany I judged the female dogs in the performance
test. During the Bundessiegerhauptzuchtschau 2002 in Karlsruhe I judged the
male dogs of the young dog class (18-24 months).
For 10 years I have worked together with my brother to breed many excellent
dogs under the kennel name “vom Schlumborn”, among these dogs were Ex
and Sipsi who received a VA (Vorzügliche Auslese). Later I had my own breed
kennel “vom Königsadler”. Also here I succeeded in breeding some top dogs,
among other things the dam “Janka vom Königsadler who is the mother of the
Weltsiegerin ”Ronda of Haus Beck".
