Anyone can do it ! With the HotPot you can easily melt glass in a microwave to create jewellery. This technique is also known by the
name of glass fusing and is now available to everyone thanks to the HotPot, since you don’t need to buy a special – expensive – fusing
kiln. Any simple microwave will do the job. Read the manual carefully before you start working with the HotPot. The HotPot comes
in 2 sizes. The HotPot is made of biosoluble fibre which is ultra light and non-hazardous. The HotPot is available as a single pot or
as a starter pack called the HotBox.

Cut the base glass.
Decorate it with coloured glass, millefiori, dichro glass,
slides, silverfoil etc and put it in the HotPot.
Place the HotPot in he microwave, set power-level and
time and fuse for approximately 2 - 10 minutes.
Check the melting process on a regular basis.
When you see an orange glow in the HotPot opening,
you know it's almost ready.
When finished, let it cool down to room temperature.
Finish your glass jewellery with bails, colliers etc.

3. Stellen Sie den HotPot in die Mikrowelle, stellen Zeit und Wattzahl
ein und fusen ungefähr 2 - 10 Minuten.
4. Überprüfen Sie regelmässig den Schmelzvorgang.
5. Wenn Sie ein rotes Glühen durch die Deckelöffnung erkennen
können, ist der Schmelzvorgang fast beendet.
6. Lassen Sie alles nach Beendigung auf Zimmertemperatur abkühlen.
7. Vervollständigen Sie Ihren Glasschmuck mit Ösen, Kettchen etc.
Glass release agents Hilfsmittel zum
(seperators) Trennen von Glas
Melting glass in the HotPot requires a release agent to prevent
the glass from sticking to the bottom part of the HotPot. The HotPot collection contains several materials for this purpose which
are all non-hazardous and easy to use. First you place a piece of
biosoluble fibre on the bottom of the HotPot, to create a smooth
surface. Then place a piece of the special smooth fusing paper on
top for a maximum smooth finish of the glass after the melting
process. Both need to be slightly larger than the glass, to prevent
the glass from flowing over this paper and fibre while melting.
Biosoluble fibre and smooth fusing paper are for single usage
and are also included in the HotBox.
Um zu verhindern, dass Ihr Glasstück beim Schmelzvorgang am
Boden des HotPot festklebt, benötigen Sie Trennmaterial. Das
HotPot-Sortiment enthält für diesen Zweck diverse Materialien,
welche nicht gesundheitsschädlich und leicht zu handhaben sind.
Zuerst legen Sie ein Stück biolösliche Fasermatte auf den Boden
des HotPot, um eine glatte Oberfläche zu erhalten. Danach legen Sie ein Stück des besonders weichen Fusing-Papiers darauf,
damit die Unterseite des Glases nach dem Schmelzvorgang so
glatt wie möglich wird. Beide Teile müssen ein bisschen grösser
als das Glasstück sein, damit das flüssige Glas beim Schmelzvorgang nicht über die Abdeckung hinaus läuft.
Note: Ordinary ceramic fibres can be harmful for your health. We
recommend to use the original HotPot biosoluble fibres only.

Dichro !
To make even more spectacular jewellery, we offer a wide range
of colourful, super-shiny dichros and silver. Dichro (short for dichroic) is a thin layer of precious metals that can be fused with
your glass. It comes in sheets on a black or clear glass base in different thicknesses, colours, patterns and structures. This glass can
be fused like any other HotPot glass, with or without clear glass
on top, for an even more sparkling effect.
Um noch eindrucksvolleren Schmuck herzustellen, halten wir ein
breites Sortiment an farbigen und schimmernden Dichros und
Silber bereit. Dichro (Kurzform für dichroitisch) ist eine dünne
Schicht Edelmetall das Sie mit Ihrem Glas fusen können. Es wird
als Glasplatte auf einer schwarzen oder durchsichtigen Glasgrundlage geliefert. Dieses Glas kann wie jedes andere HotPot

More dichro materials with various colours and shapes are available like dichro scrap. You can choose a black or clear base glass
to make all kinds of combinations.

einer schwarzen oder einer durchsichtigen Glasplatte für viele
verschiedene Kombinationen wählen.
The dicro-slides hold a thin layer of these precious metals on a
masker film that can be released in water and then decorated
on top of the regular HotPot glass. Frits are tiny crisps of dichroslide, mixed in all colours and suitable for fusing in between 2
layers of glass. And with the silver foil you can add 100% silver to
your jewellery, fused on top, or in between the glass.
