ANTILLECTUAL
Im vergangenen Jahr haben sich ANTILLECTUAL zurückgezogen und waren damit
beschäftigt ein neues Album aufzunehmen. Am 29. Juli 2016 wird die Band nun ihren
neuen Langspieler mit dem Titel „ENGAGE!“ veröffentlichen. Das Leben in einer Welt,
die bestimmt ist von Konflikten und Krisen, verlangt nach Engagement – „ENGAGE!“
Kritische Musik für kritische Zeiten.
Für ihr neues Werk haben ANTILLECTUAL einen neuen Ansatz gewählt, um ihren
Sound zu erschaffen und diesen zu perfektionieren. Sie gehen nicht nur mit ihrem bisher
stärksten Line-Up ins Rennen, auch für die (Vor-) Produktion haben sie ein All-Star
Team um sich versammelt, mit dem sie in der Lage waren alle Grenzen lauter Musik
auszuloten, in alle Richtungen, von poppig bis obskur.
Die Songs auf „ENGAGE!“ sind durchdachter und ausgearbeiteter als zuvor, es wurden
noch mehr Zeit und Mühe investiert. Der typische ANTILLECTUAL Geschmack
bleibt natürlich erhalten, die verschiedenen Schichten wurden aber mit Zutaten verfeinert,
die man mit jedem Bissen von der neuen ANTILLECTUAL Pizza für sich entdecken
kann. Und um den Genuss perfekt zu machen, sind Nathan Gray von BOYSETSFIRE
und Thomas Barnett von STRIKE ANYWHERE mit Auftritten auf „ENGAGE!“ vertreten.
„Racist Rash“, die erste Single des Albums, wird am 23. Mai veröffentlicht. Das Musikvideo
entstand unter der Leitung von Dokumentarfilmer Harko Wubs.
„ENGAGE!“ erscheint in Europa auf Redfield Records, in Asien auf Waterslide Records
und in Südamerika auf Fusa Records.
