Mary Immaculate College (MIC) is one of the leading
event locations in the Limerick Region for meetings,
seminars, conferences, shows, exhibitions and sporting
events. We have more than 50 lecture theatres and
meeting rooms on campus as well as the 360 seat 'Halla'
Auditorium and the 510 seat 'Lime Tree Theatre', along with
an award winning sports complex. All lecture theatres,
classrooms, seminar and meeting rooms are equipped with the
latest audio-visual facilities. We also have a number of exhibition
and display spaces available to hire.

This modern, purpose built accommodation is only minutes walk from the
College. There are 96 bed spaces available – 68 single and 14 twin rooms.

Foundation Building
The historically listed Foundation Building boasts a range
of characterful lecture theatres and meeting rooms. The
Foundation Building houses the Halla, a 320 seat auditorium
as well as:

Wedding and Baptismal Ceremonies
MIC is delighted to host wedding and baptismal ceremonies for staff,
current students or alumni of the College in the Campus Chapel. The
Chapel, built in 1906, can accommodate 200 people.
•
Please note: The Chapel needs to be booked a minimum of six months in advance
of the ceremony (a fee is charged for use of the Chapel and payment of sacristan).
Summerville House:
Originally built in 1786 Summerville House offers meeting and conference
spaces that can accommodate between 10 to 70 people. Many of the rooms
still have their original features dating back to when the house was built making it a unique setting for events.

TARA BUILDING
The Tara building is a 4,400 square metre space arranged
over four levels. Its facilities include:
• Four tiered lecture theatres ranging in capacity from
100-300 seats
• 30 meeting/seminar and teaching rooms ranging in capacity
from 18-70 seats
• Four IT Teaching Laboratories ranging in capacity from 30-36 seats
• The Lime Tree Theatre is a 510 seat theatre with a six metre High
Definition Cinema Screen and is one of the Shannon Region's premier

A feature of the building is the large open recreational area called 'The Forum' which has Wi-Fi connectivity

TAILTEANN SPORTS
AND RECREATION COMPLEX
The architecturally award winning Tailteann Sports and
Recreation Complex incorporates a gym, sports halls and
pitches. The name of the building has great resonance
referring as it does to ancient Tailteann Games (Aonach
Tailteann), a Celtic Olympics associated with the ancient Queen
Tailté. The Tailteann Games were to be an exhibition of all that is
best in Irish sports and Irish athletes. This tradition is carried on in
our sports and recreation complex.

The Lime Tree Theatre
The Lime Tree Theatre is a state-of-the-art 510 seat theatre, situated on the
campus of Mary Immaculate College. Officially opened in October 2012, the
venue hosts a wide range of performances, including theatre, music, comedy,
traditional arts, schools’ performances and conferences.
Theatre specifications:
510 seat (4 disabled positions) raked auditorium across 3 building levels. 6
audience entrance / exit doors. There are 5 banks of seats that can be removed.
There are two front of house mix positions. One situated in the middle of the
auditorium with a 24-way multi to stage right and one situated at the rear of the
auditorium beside the control room with access to a patch bay.

RATES
Room Rental Prices and Specifications
Room Rental Prices for meeting rooms and classrooms range from €35
(minimum charge) to €175 (8 hours) depending on the room. Lecture
Theatres range in price from €90 to €220 depending on room and length
of time required. Rental costs for the Halla, Lime Tree Theatre and Tailteann
Sports facilities are available on request.
