Fitting Instructions
K 1200 R + Sport “Speed Cover”

Entfernen Sie die Sitzbank des Fahrzeuges.
Entfernen Sie ggf. die dünne Schutzfolie von dem Seitendeckel.
Schieben Sie den Seitendeckel mit der inneren Haltelasche über die untere
Rahmenstrebe (Bild B + C).
3. Befestigen Sie den Seitendeckel oben mit der Linsenflanschschraube M5x16
und Buchse. Die Buchse dient hierbei als Führung (Bild B1).
4. Befestigen Sie den Haltewinkel mit Schraube M6x12 + U-Scheibe an der Rahmenstrebe (90° Winkel ist oben, Bild D1). Der Seitendeckel wird mit Schraube
M5x10, U-Scheibe „gross“ und mit jeweils zwei Plastikscheiben, selbstsichernde
Mutter und M5 U-Scheibe am Haltewinkel befestigt (D). Ziehen Sie die selbstsichernde Mutter nur handfest an, da sonst das Seitenteil beschädigt wird.
Hinweis: Die Deckel können wie normale Lackteile gereinigt und gepflegt
werden. Verwenden Sie aber niemals aggressive Reinigungsmittel wie
Verdünnung etc.

Remove the seat from the bike.
If the cover has a thin protective foil, carefully pull it off. Slide
the side cover into position, with the inside “tongue” (C) pushed over the
frame strut (Image B + C).
3. Bolt the M5x16 flange bolt and spacer through the upper hole of the cover
to the frame. The spacer acts as a guide for the cover (Image B1).
4. Attach the lower bracket to the frame using the M6x12 bolt and washer (the
90° bend is on top, Image D1). Attach the side cover to the bracket with
the M5x10 bolt, large washer, a washer on each side of the plastic cover, a
self locking nut and washer (Image D). Only hand tighten the self locking
nut to avoid damaging the plastic cover.
Note: The side covers can be cleaned in the same way as the painted
parts of the motorcycle. Never use any abrasive or caustic cleaners such
as paint thinner, etc.

Togliere la sella dalla moto.
Se il fianchetto è dotato di una pellicola protettiva, rimuoverla con
attenzione. Posizionare il fianchetto con la “linguetta” (C) sul telaio (fig.
B+C).
3. Installare il fianchetto con il distanziale ed il bullone M 5x16 al telaio. Il
distanziale funge da posizionamento del fianchetto (figura B1).
4. Installare il supporto inferiore al telaio utilizzando il bullone M6x12 e rondella
(l’angolo di 90° si trova nella parte superiore fig. D1). Applicare il fianchetto
al telaio utilizzando il bullone M5x10, le rondelle “grandi” in plastica su entrambi i lati dello stesso, quindi applicare dado e rondella (figura D). Stringere
il dado con cautela ed evitare una forte pressione che potrebbe danneggiare
il fianchetto in plastica.
N.B.: Come per tutte le parti della moto, i fianchetti possono essere puliti con
acqua anche a media pressione senza però utilizzare sostanze aggressive.
