Interim HR Business Partner, Active Management

QG Investments Africa Management (QGIAM), a company of the Quantum Global group, is a fastgrowing Mauritius-based investment manager. QGIAM manages seven sub-Saharan Africa focused
private equity funds that target direct investments in agriculture, timber, healthcare, hospitality,
infrastructure, mining and structured equity. The private equity team invests in companies and
projects, in which they seek majority or minority shareholdings with the goal of creating long-term
value for investors.
To support its aggressive expansion plan in sub-Saharan Africa, QGIAM is now looking for a:
Interim HR Business Partner, Active Management
to be based in our expanding offices in Mauritius for 6-12 months, possibly more.
Duties and responsibilities

Own talent sourcing, selection and acquisition process for QGIAM’s portfolio companies;

Lead the entire recruitment process: from headcount approval and briefing until contract and
onboarding through drafting the job description, activating relevant recruitment channels (direct
and through third party involvement), assessing candidates, coordinating the interview process
and leading the salary negotiation;

Coordinate HR administration;

Choose, develop and implement employer branding tools and consolidate the portfolio
companies’ positions in the market;

Take active part in diverse HR projects and events.
Your Qualifications

Degree from a respectable university (further education in HR a plus);

First-class experience in recruitment in a broad variety of industrial sectors;

Proven track record recruiting for emerging markets (ideally Africa); experience living there a
plus; ability to interact with, negotiate and recruit at all management levels and in diverse
geographies;

Successful experience with large scale, international and complex recruitment efforts.

Sound knowledge of HR best practices;

A very hands-on, problem-solver and pragmatic attitude, combined with an open personality;

Fluency in English a must; Portuguese, French or Spanish a strong plus.
