CE Certification – MagSquares
Theory of Operation:
The device uses a combination of permanent magnets and physical
orientations to engage and disengage magnetic force. This is used to position,
retain or attach to a variety of ferrous materials. The device consist of one or more
fixed permanent magnet(s) contained in a steel housing with a corresponding
number of rotating permanent magnet(s) connected to various mechanisms to
switch the magnetic force on and off. The mechanisms can be activated with an
electric motor, mechanical knobs or levers and pneumatic actuators. The housing
acts as a shunt to aid the position of the magnetic poles.

Technology
Magnetic system:
The devices use two (2) or more rare earth magnets, housing(s) and
mechanical mechanisms to align the poles of all of the magnets used in the
system. Magnets are cylindrical in shape, with North and South poles on each side
of the cylinder. The device is in the off position when the poles of both or all of
the magnets are physically positioned 180° from each other. The device is in the
on position when the poles of both or all of the magnets are physically positioned
in alignment. The Magnetic Circuit Diagram (MCD) shows each of the functional
components of magnetic functions in simplified schematic format. The Magnetic
Circuit Diagram (MCD) starts with the fixed magnet(s) at the left side of the
diagram and the movable magnet on the right side of the diagram.
