Ankunft in Los Angeles
Arrive at Los Angeles International airport and transfer to your hotel. Overnight.
2. Tag:
Los Angeles - Palm Springs
195 mi / 312 km
This morning you pick up your bike at EagleRider’s LAX location and begin your adventure that will take you all over the Western United States! Ride the winding mountain
roads down to Lake Elsinore to the fashionable resort town of Palm Springs. Overnight.
3. Tag:
Palm Springs - Phoenix
270mi / 432 km
From Palm Springs take Hwy 62 towards Joshua Tree, where you turn right on Park Blvd.
Enjoy a scenic ride through Joshua Tree National Park – you see amazing colors, rock
canyons, and more kind of cacti than you ever knew existed. Pick up Quail Springs Road
and turn right at El Dorado Mine Road, then head south to Hwy 10, which will take you all
the way to Phoenix. Phoenix is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States,
mainly due to the dry climate and many days of sunshine. Overnight.
4. Tag:
Phoenix - Flagstaff
215 mi / 344 km
From Phoenix you head north on Hwy 17 until you get to Montezuma Castle, a National
Monument of well-preserved ancient cliff dwellings, which you should visit. Continue to
Sedona, a unique town with some dramatic otherworld scenery. Sedona is famous for its
spiritual energy and a thriving art community. From uptown Sedona you take Hwy 89a
and you will find yourself in a natural paradise for motorcycle travelers on your run
through Oak Creek Canyon – probably the most intimate spot on the southern edge of
the Great Colorado Plateau. The scenery may look familiar, since many scenes in cowboy movies had been filmed here. Hwy 89a will take you all the way to Flagstaff. Overnight.
5. Tag:
Flagstaff - Grand Canyon
110 mi / 176 km
From Flagstaff it is only a short ride to the fantastic Grand Canyon. Take Hwy 89 to
Cameron, then enter Hwy 64 west and enjoy cruising along the South Rim. You will have
all day to explore the majestic canyon, which is far larger than anything you can imagine.
Overnight.
6. Tag:
Grand Canyon - Las Vegas
290 mi / 464 km
Take Hwy 64 towards Williams. Here your journey gets legendary appeal, as you enter
historic Route 66, the “Mother Road”, which you ride all the way to Kingman. Kingman is
considered the “heart of historic Route 66”. From Kingman you head for the glittering
“entertainment capital of the world” to Las Vegas. Take Hwy 93 and enjoy a ride through
Lake Mead National Recreation Area and the Cerbat Mountains. Hwy 93 will take you to
one of the world’s greatest man-made structures, the Hoover Dam, which marks the
border between Arizona and Nevada. Continue to Las Vegas. Overnight.

265 mi / 424 km
You are leaving Las Vegas on Route 160, go up to Hwy 190, which will lead you west
through the Death Valley – a lonely stretch, no twists and turns, just rolling desert. After
defeating Death Valley you head on to Lone Pine, which is a purely American experience…more than 300 Western movies were filmed here. Overnight.
9. Tag:
Lone Pine - El Portal
200 mi / 320 km
From Lone Pine you take Hwy 395, the road out of Lone Pine stays in true form: impressive mountains and straight runs. Continue north and you will blaze down the road with
the Sierra Nevada’s on the left and the Inyo Mountains on the right. The spicy fragrance
of the desert is just as bracing as the chill of the mountain air – enjoy this motorcycle
friendly road! Ride up to the nice town of Lee Vining, where you enter Tioga Pass and
then head all the way to Yosemite Village (74 miles). Overnight.
10. Tag: El Portal - San Francisco
225 mi / 360 km
Today you are heading back to the Pacific Coast. Ride via Modesto and go north towards
Napa Valley, where famed wineries welcome you for tours and tasting. Napa Valley is the
closest you can come to riding along the Mediterranean roads. We suggest taking Hwy
99 from Modesto to Lodi, where you enter Hwy 12 west, which will take you up to Napa.
You head back to San Francisco through Marin County and cross the Golden Gate
Bridge into San Francisco, your base for the next two nights.
