Protective Clothing
Strahlenschutzkleidung
MACO protective clothing is made from extremely soft and flexible lead
rubber sheets based on natural rubber caoutchouc. It is very pliant and thus
comfortable to wear. A washable textile cover allows an easy cleaning and
disinfection. Bright and friendly colours have a positive effect on the operator
and patients. The sophisticated design and first class manufacturing quality
guarantee many years of operation. The employment of high quality and
state-of-the-art raw materials assures a consistent high radiation protection
throughout the entire product life time.
Our protective clothing is manufactured according to DIN EN IEC
61331-3, the EU Directives 89/686/EEC for personal protective
equipment respectively 93/42/EEC for medical devices, RöV
standards and is marked CE-0123.
MACO Röntgenschutzbekleidung wird aus extrem weichem
und flexiblen, auf Naturkautschuk basierendem Bleigummi gefertigt.
Sie ist äußerst geschmeidig und daher sehr angenehm zu tragen. Ihr
abwaschbarer Textilbezug ermöglicht eine einfache Reinigung und
Desinfektion. Ihre klaren und freundlichen Farben wirken positiv auf
Anwender und Patienten. Ein durchdachtes Design und höchste
Verarbeitungsqualität garantieren langjährigen Einsatz. Die
Verwendung hochwertiger und moderner Werkstoffe gewährleistet
eine gleichbleibend hohe Strahlensicherheit über die gesamte
Produktlebenszeit.
Unsere Röntgenschutzbekleidung wird entsprechend der DIN EN IEC
61331-3, den EU Verordnungen 89/686/EWG für Persönliche
Schutzausrüstung bzw. 93/42/EWG für Medizinprodukte und der RöV
gefertigt und ist CE-0123 gekennzeichnet.

Eyes and thyroids are among the organs which are very sensitive to
X-ray radiation and afford a special protection during CT
examinations.
Auge und Schilddrüse gehören zu den Organen des Menschen mit dem
strahlensensitivsten Gewebe und benötigen während einer Schädel-CTUntersuchung einer besonderen Betrachtung bezüglich des Strahlenschutzes.
For example the ICRP (International Commission on Radiological
Protection) has estimated that the threshold for detectable
opacities in the lens from a single brief exposure to be 0.5 – 2Gy. A
yearly exposure of more than 0,1GY can lead to radiation cataracts.
Als Beispiele sei hier der Schwellenwert der Strahlendosis für die messbare
Trübung der Augenlinse von 0,5 – 2,0 Gy bei kurzzeitiger Exposition aufgeführt.
Ab 0,1 Gy pro Jahr treten messbare Trübungen der Augenlinse auf.
Therefore the International and National Commissions on
radiological protections recommend shielding for the eyes and
thyroids.
